Has anyone actually ever used a 99p/£1 Shop test and had an accurate result? And how soon after your missed period are they accurate?

Have only ever used Clearblue, so am not sure if they are just a waste of money?

Hi Eve4Walle. (Love the name, by the way!) I haven't used a £1 shop test but have had BFP on a Babymad cheap test after MC when hadn't lost all the hormones and a subsequent BFN when I had. I would imagine you'd have to be a couple of days after your period for a cheapie to show positive.Don't know if that helps you at all but hope you get the result you're after.

Hi - the cheap ones e.g. pound shop are often as accurate as the expensive ones, to 25ml/u or whatever it is which is quite sensitive (for example the ones in the docs are 50) , mine picked up BFP day before I was due on.

I got 20 tests from e-bay for about £3 free p&p. I got a + result 1 day before my missed period very faint but def positive. They are only strip tests so you have to wee into a pot and dab them in. But saved me so much money.
