Fertility Clinic reco - Reading area

Hi ladies,

Hoping someone can offer advice... I'm moving to the Reading area end of June (from Wiltshire), and know nothing about local hospitals. My GP's given me a list of about 18 fertility clinics on my Choose & Book form so that I can try to find one local to my new home rather than here, and I have no idea which to go for! I'm not even sure any are in Reading (googling them all in turn).

Can anyone recommend a good clinic in the area, or tell me of ones to avoid? Or is GWH in Swindon sufficiently good that I should go there while I'm still in the area and potentially drive back up afterwards?

I'll be working in Slough from July if that changes anyone's recommendations!

Thanks very much

Go to the HFEA website and you can look at the clinics local to you, look at their results and compare clinics etc here

Bear in mind though that the results on here are the HFEA audited results and can be a couple of years out of date, so phone the clinics you are interested in to get their recent results.

Best of luck

The Royal Berkshire Hospital (RBH) in central Reading has a fertility clinic - not sure if you meant NHS or private. I had a few appointments at RBH - the staff are lovely but it's in the maternity ward which can obviously be a bit upsetting.

Don't know of any others sorry.

Thanks both. It's NHS - just that because both my GP and I are clueless about the area she's recommended loads of hospitals. Not sure Royal Berkshire is one of them though
