DD is 4.6 and DS is 14 mo...... hard work, early walkers, very determined children, prone to bad tantrums, breast fed every 2 hrs through the day and night for the first year...so knackering....

Why am I soooo BROODY?!

What made you stop getting broody? And if I had no.3 what if i still felt broody?!?!

Why am I constantly thinking about babies so soon after ds??!

I constantly felt broody like that, had no. 3 and the broodiness disappeared . Seriously, it's such a relief not to feel like that any more. I can even hang around other people's newborns and not a twitch.

I feel the same have a 2 dc's (2.6 and 1) and feel very broody for another. Luckily(?)I am on medication that is not compatible with pregnancy so no more for at least another year which is good as I don't really want another one so close in age again.

I really hope the broody feeling stop at some point though as I can't keep having babies forever.

You sound like me, Have one DD 2.5 and DS 6 mo & can't stop thinking of no. 3 but can't even go there as Im having to go back to work full time in a couple of months & I couldnt afford childcare for 3 but constantly trying to work out timings in my head as to how I could have no. 3 one day & how I could do childcare etc. I wonder of its a hormone thing! A chemical reaction after having babies!
Think I will only stop when its out of the question to have more!
Sorry not got any real answer here but just wanted you to know I am the same & could have written your post.

I your relief of no more broodiness celery!! I can't believe i feel like this. In fact this is the broodiest I have ever ever felt. I just can't stop thinking about it, then it makes me feel guilty as though I am not happy with the 2 children I already have. argh!

I have six years between dd2 and dd3 and can tell you that for me the broodiness has gone. Went right after delivery tbh and has never come back. It's quite weird actually - weird but good as physically I don't think I could do it again and financially we certainly couldn't!

God i have 4 dc who are 17.6, 13.6, 4.8 and 2.8.

I still feel broody and that feeling will never go So DH and I made a decision for him to have the snip when dd2 was 4 months old or we may never have stopped having children.

Couldn't have afforded anymore and my bits were knackered enough. I am very grateful for the children i have tho and i try not to think about how lovely it would have been to have a few more!!

Sorry to say, that I started feeling broody when my dc2 was about a two years old and we started ttc. As soon as dc3 was born, I was immediately broody for dc4, hence now ttc dc4. So I have absolutely no stopping of the broodiness having had a third! My advice would be to stop at two!!!! Cause having a third will not necessarily stop the broodiness. But have to say my third child is wonderful!!!!

Me too. DD is 5, DS 14 months. Desperately want another. Maybe will/maybe won't. DH not keen on more, as he is also worried I won't want to stop at 3.
