We are not ttc. I had my 2nd baby in November. I have had three periods since then - one short, light period (Jan) and two proper, heavy periods lasting nearly a week each time and both exactly 28 days apart (one in Feb and one in March). My period is due next week.

So why do I feel pregnant? Been sick all week - thought it was nororvirus until I got that metallic taste in my mouth over the weekend. Got hot flushes (had this both times before). I know I will just have to test next week to be sure, but it's impossible, innit? I mean - isn't it? I am starting to absolutely shit myself, to be honest.

Um, it's only impossible if you've not had sex.

Have you not had sex?

MrsMattie · 06/04/2009 19:00

Haven't had sex in a month as have been feeling poorly. Had lots of sex before that.

I'm not going to be one of those people that turns out to be 14 weeks pregnant and had no idea, am I?

How protected was the sex you had?

MrsMattie · 06/04/2009 19:04

Condoms. All seemed to go well. Have never had an accident with them in 8 years together, so really hoping...

Well that sounds promising. You will probably be fine.

It's probably just because you've been ill.

MrsMattie · 06/04/2009 19:06

Yeah

Thanks! I know the real answer is 'Test', but I am in denial at the moment and looking out madly for PMT (I have just eaten a rather large amount of chcocolate! ).

I would test, if I were in your shoes, just so I could have a glass-of-- wine put my mind at rest.

Would it be the end of the world if you were though? Is any part of you not filled with total horror at the thought?

MrsMattie · 06/04/2009 19:46

In a fantasy world it would be lovely, but in RL:

DH totally against the idea
I have horrific pregnancies
I have c-sections (argh!@thought of a third big op)
I am sick of being a SAHM and am supposed to be starting my Masters in the new year...
And of course, all the practicalities - money etc
