Hi everyone,

I'm new to this site. I've been trying to conceive for about five months with no luck so far. Sometimes it feels as though it's never going to happen.

I've started writing a semi-fictional, humorous blog about it. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to just link to a blog here, or if I need to get a MN blog (??), but I thought I'd link to it, and if it's not ok, I'll take it down.

Afternoon all.
This seems like a nice thread so wondered if i could join in?

Wont beet around the bush me and my DP have been TTC DC1 for about 10month. Been haveing problems with ovulating. . We have a GOF very very regularly, but still no luck. Also, i have been getting very of people around me that are already pg or people who already have a DC, but oh well. I am currently on CD10. So just waiting for ovulatiuon CM if it ever arrives.

Hi,

Sorry - I've been away from my computer for a few days.

I think I'm ovulating, inasmuch as I have the right kind of CM, positive OPKs and regular periods, but who knows? I hope I am.

I'm about four DPO, but I'm fairly sure I'm not pregnant this month.

Good luck.

Hi sappholit (is this a clue to what you write about?) Just wanted to post and add a comment about your blog. Are you really ttc? If so can I add some advice from an old hand at ttc... if you can't read an ov stick try this website, it has loads of advice on how to read ov tests. IME you have to start testing on around cd 10 (assuming you have a 28 day cycle, and ov roughly cd14) and keep testing until you get a positive ov reading. Sounds to me like you gave up too soon.

Also, I don't know if you are, it wasn't in your blog, but it's important to have lots of sex throughout your cycle, including before you ov, that way the sperm are there waiting for the moment the egg pops out. the deanna plan is also good for working out the right times to have sex. Sorry if this is all a bit like teaching grandma to suck eggs and you know it all, but it just struck me that if you are ttc then there's a couple more things you can do. Depends how seriously you want to try. There are many here who swear that not trying to get pg is the best way.

Thanks, Headfairy,

I'm writing the blog from memory. I've been ttc for five months now - seven months if you include two months where I know I got the timing wrong.

I'm taking it more seriously now than I was back then. I'm going to stop drinking soon.

has anybody else been feeling really latly?

HeadFairy · 11/04/2009 21:54

Oh I see... good luck with it. I don't really give up drinking even when on the 2ww, I think I might jinx things. I've never been a big drinker but why the hell should i give up the one or two glasses of wine for something that might not happen?
