Hi all

I am trying for number 1 and have got endometriosis (and due to other tests - FSH, AMH etc) have been told that chances of conceiving naturally are EXTREMELY low. I am 39.

I got a positive OPK (using clearblue digital) on CD 14 which was still positive on CD 16. My period has ALWAYS arrived 12 - 14 days after first getting a positive OPK.

However, something very strange has just happened. Last night, on CD 18 I got a very, very, very light bleed - only knew it was there when I wiped. Same again this morning (CD19).

What is this? It has never happened before.

I have heard of implantation bleeding but it would appear to be far too early for this? (OPK was still positive 2 days earlier).

Getting the odd very minor twinge/cramp too.

Is this just period arriving extremely early?

Any advice?

hi eleveld

I can't give you any definite advice BUT, I'm 35 and this month on CD16 I had a tiny bleed which like yours was only noticeable when I wiped. I haven't been temping/doing kits because I'm too stooopid to pee on a stick properly! ;) So basically I don't know when I OV'd.

You can drive yourself absolutely nuts trying to google this bleed, but what I found out:

i) cervical erosion
ii) ovulation bleed
iii) implantation bleed

Implantation CAN happen really really early - especially if your OPK wasn't 100%.

But as there's no real way of knowing it's surely just another way for us to torture ourselves.

I'm now CD21 and I won't know anything for sure until next week.

Good luck and try not to let it drive you bananas.

thanks for your reply.

Yes I've had a quick search on internet and likely explanation seems to be ovulaton bleed (although this would be 4 days after first getting positive OPK and I have never had it before but perhaps it's all connected with my endo?)

Thanks and good luck

Endo is truly a PITA (if you pardon the expression) of a disease.

It is quite possible to have more than one LH surge throughout the month hence the multiple positive results.

Its probably not serious but ought to be checked out further by a gynae (if you are still under the care of such a person and you should be) due to the underlying problems you have.
