faint line

have just done a test and the line is very very faint so does that mean i am pregnant or not?

am 3 days late and always regular so thought i would test and see as cant wait any longer

Did the line appear within the time limit?
Does it have colour (however light)?
Can you take a photo of the line? (this isn't on the box but is my own test!)
If the answer to each of the above is "yes" I would take that as a positive.

yes the line was there within the time limit
yes it has a colour to it - very faint red
its a tesco one

Sounds like a positive to me.
I haven't done a Tesco one, but sometimes these tests are very pale, even when you are late.

i hope so will re test in the morning which is what i really should have done but couldn't wait lol

Mine was a fient positive too, was a few days late as well. I traipsed off to the GP only to be told a positive is a positive and they did not need to re-test. That was that - officially PG. DD is now 2.5

update - tested first thing using tesco test and another very faint line so went out and bought the clear blue test and that came out as a positive result
