I had cramping for about 5 days prior to AF rearing its ugly head, they were more intense than usual AF pains. AF came 1 day later than expected all fine, until today!

It has been a very long time since I have had a heavy period so this might be normal and I am just heavier than I am used to.
I am loosing clots of blood with a pale brown mucus blobs in. Is this normal? Like I say it may well just be a heavy period.

Hiya nunnie, i had the exact same thing this month, not like me at all, had such painful cramps i went and had a quick word with a friend who is also a nurse and she said i have most likely had something called a 'chemical pregnancy' which is basically where conception occured but went wrong very very early and you loose it, alot of women have them and dont even realise it, sometimes you just get a much heavier then usual period and alot more cramping. A bit sad in some ways i guess but she said its very very common! Hope you ok x

Thanks QoV, I feel OK. At least if that is what it is, I can get some hope that conception did happen and there is still a chance I was beginning to loose all hope of having number 2, so this in a way has helped.

Am I able to TTC again as sson as AF is finished or am I best to wait a month?

I think its ok to keep trying, unlike a major miscarriage later on, where it can or does cause problems, these early 'little losses' dont have much of a negative impact on the body apparently. I dont really know for sure but i cant imagine it hurts to try?? i think we all need a soddin TON of babydust on here lol xx
