Hi

Wondering if someone can help me please.

I am 27 have been ttc for 3 1/2 yrs. Now been referred to assisted conception. I have recently had fsh levels tested. Last month it was 9.9, this month is 10.1. Nurse said this is high for my age, so am so worried as I am petrified incase I cant have my own baby or if I do fall pg i might miscarry because of the quality of my eggs.

My estradiol level was 108 think this was per litre?? And LH level was 5.7.

They are still going to try IUI this month if i respond well enough and am on the IVF waiting list.

Is there any chance that I will have a successful pregnancy or is there anyone with any success stories that can give me a glimmer of hope??

Thank You xx

Hi Vix, I'm far from being an expert but I have found some lab reference ranges for FSH from when I was tested - as a measure of ovarian reserve, under 6 is excellent, 6-9 is good, 9-10 fair, 10-13 diminished reserve, 13+ very hard to stimulate. So your consultant has correctly identified you as someone that may well benefit from treatment, ie have a baby!

Hormone levels are just a snapshot in time and that they do fluctuate too, so your FSH could be higher for a month or so then lower in the following month. There is always hope.

Hopefully someone that can help more will be along soon. Best of luck. xx
