Mirena coil removal

Just had mine removed today after five years. I never had any periods while on it and the Dr said they would return in 4 to 6 weeks. However, there is quite a lot of bleeding now. Is this normal after removal? How long can I expect this to last. Thanks!

I bled a bit but it wasn't too bad.I felt rubbish the same day - well, like a very bad period - but next day was fine. If you still have heavy bleeding tomorrow, I would think about getting checked out.

Thanks for the reassurance. Seems to be stopping so I don't think it's anything to worry about. Just thought the dr might have mentioned it!
