Will smear test mean ttc out for this month?

Am due smear test. If I have conceived would it damage it in any way?

I don't think so, I had one when 12wks pg... Sure someone will be along soon with a definate answer

My practice nurse told me it was fine to have a smear whilst TTC. I had one at the beginning of my cycle just after my period had finished so I knew I wasn't pregnant when I had it.

No it is absolutely fine to have. You should ideally have it mid-cycle anyway, so you will know if you are pregnant or not that month. If you are just TTC, no problem at all. If you are pregnant, then it won't do any harm, it is just a very slightly higher chance of getting a falsely abnormal result because of the hormone changes, that's all. Not ideal then, but no real issue.

Hi yellow (waves) - I had a smear not long ago after being reassured it was ok. I made sure I made the appointment for as soon as AF finished so it wouldn't impact on that month.
