ovualtion and temping

I am new here and a little confused.
I started using ovualtion predictors and i got a positive on day 14 and my temperature has risen too. would that mean i ovualted?

I dont rely on taking my temperature as sometimes i wake frequently during the night so was told that its unreliable.

the temperature rose slightly the day after the positive test and has risen more drastically since then. would i have ovulated before the first temp rise or the more significant 1?

thanks

Sorry, I'm cheekily piggy-backing your thread rather than starting a new one because I have a similar question but at least it'll bump it to the top...

Like you I've just started trying to map my cycle by using 'one step ovulation tests' that I bought online and they work by detecting the hormone that you produce around ovulation time. I got a faint positive a couple of days ago and tested today expecting a strong positive but got a negative, so not sure if that means I only had one fertile day... Or is the hormone only produced before ovulation so you get a positive in the couple of days leading up to it and then nothing on the actual day you are ovulating? Should I be having lots of sex today?!

Ovulation experts please step forward. Many thanks

And I have a question too...

Once temp has dropped again towards end of cycle does that 100 per cent def mean you are not pregnant? Would it be possible for temp to be below cover line for a few days and you to still be pregnant?

i dont know for sure, i am no expert but i assume if you have had a positive opk ad a temp rise then u pro did ovulate.

Did you see a dip before the temp shift? That's always the clincher for me.

Average of 36.2, dip to 35-ish and rise to 36.6 post ov. at this end = definite ovulation (confirmed with the ov. test).

It's still worth temping if you wake frequently. I can't remember the last time I didn't wake at least 3 times in the night and my temps still show ov. Just stick to taking it at regularish time (5.30-6.30 for me), regardless of how often you wake.

Oh and yellowflowers - my temp only drops literally just before AF, or sometimes just after, which is plain rude !
