How long do you get period pains for?

Is it normal to get cramping pains for 5 days before AF? I never used to. I'm hoping that it means something else (implantation??) but am aware there a bit of straw clutching going on here!

I never get period pains UNTIL i am TTC, then i get constant pains. . I had cramping from OV until AF last month and have had cramping about 5 days now, due on Tomorrow or Saturday. I am not holding my breath.

Hope its good news for you though.

For the last 2 months (never before that) I've had cramping from about day 21 right up to af. All i can think is that i'm driving myself slowly mad with this ttc lark, because i can't understand it.

Having said that, i just read a message from someone saying the same thing who'd just had a bfn.... on a thread about spotting i think. Individual variation can explain anything!

Good luck to you anyway!
