Temps higher than "normal" for me- a good sign?

Normally luteal phase temps are 36.7 this cycle they have been consistently 36.8. (Previously charted cycles are all 36.7 with one temp of 36.8 when I had a cold.)

So is this a good sign? Am 7DPO and don't feel ill and have no other explanation I can think of for raised temps.

Of course I am obsessing (as I sit here with a glass of wine- so clearly not too convinced yet!) and probably clutching at straws. So pat me on the head with an ice pack!

Thandeka. Alcohol can effect temp so it could be that

Thanks for the suggestion

Yup am aware of that- previous months have probably drunk more though (heck that makes me sound like an alcoholic - am not!) Last charted cycle was all over Christmas and did have the only other ever one off temp of 37.8 but would expect more high temps then than now if alcohol were the causing it IYSWIM.

Could be a sign but probably too early to tell. You might find a further increase around 10 days dpo to 36.9 that would be a good sign.

Charts showing pregnancy are normally triphasic, so you should see your 'normal' temps after ovulation, then another 'step' of .1 or .2 of a degree 7-10 dpo, thus giving a triphasic pattern.

Fingers crossed for you that it is your month!!

fingers crossed indeed. Feeling very nauseous all day today too but have had that in previous cycles and a BFN and possibly was exposed to norovirus on thursday.

Wow just took my temp now (obviously is not basal temp but just wanted to see and its 36.93! maybe am dying!)

(hmm can you tell I am an obsessive ttc hypochondriac! not a good combo!)

36.93 is a normal temperature! You are not dying.

I was a completely obsessive ttc/temper I must confess. Happily I got pg after 13 months ttc no1 and 5 months ttc no2. I was the most stressed/obsessed/temping/cm checking/standing on my head after bd'ing nut-case but I managed it in the end.

I am the exception to the rule that you have to "chill-out, forget about it, stop temping, get a hobby" advice most health professionals give you when you report that you are not conceiving!

hehe

Thats good to know.

I like data collection so I am loathe to give up my charts for the time being!
