TMI Type Question....

OK this really is TMI, but it has baffled me adn I hope someone on here can help..

I get EWCM during AF. I have a short cycle - 24 days and don't get EWCM at other times.

What does this mean re my best chance conception dates.

Someone pelase reassure me that I am normal!

How long does AF last?

Potentially with short cycles it is possible to ovulate during your period.

Luteal phase (Post ov) is usually fairly constant between 10 and 16 days.

Lets pretend you have a luteal phase of 16 days on average- that would mean ovulation on day 8- say your period is 7 days and you have EWCM on days 5,6,7 then that would fit with the signs- last day of EWCM being day of/day before ov.

Best thing to do is start charting your temp and see where the thermal shift is to pinpoint ov.

Everything Thandeka says with bells on. You need to identify when you ovulate.

AF is only 4 - 5 days maximum.

I think I will get scientific and see if I can get a basal thermometer and go from there!

I get ewcm (often brownish or blood-tinged, but not always) just before AF, and probably during too. I'm pretty sure it's not related to ovulation, it's just normal discharge around that time.

Definitely recommend taking temps, and sign up with fertilityfriend.com if you haven't already.

opk sticks can also be very useful, but I'd recommend the ebay cheapy ones rather than the hideously expensive ones from the chemist. You really need to test quite often if you're not sure when you're ovulating, so you need plenty of cheap tests!

My cycle is usually around 25-26 days and I usually ovulate around day 15. ewcm is often not all that obvious, but if you know when to look for it, it helps.
