I posted a while ago about having sex with my husband, but he did not finish. My period has not returned after new baby, but lochia stopped about 6 weeks ago.

I was told by you lot to get the M-A-P.I did not.My period still has not arrived, but I have been crampy, and had lots of 'stretchy discharge' like when I was pregnant, I am hoping this is still from new new baby.

Yesterday there was a streak of blood in stretchy gunk.AF not started.I am panicking. Its been 15 days since 'incident'

you have to test.

even if he did not ejaculate inside you, there could have been some sperm released...

you need to do a test. it is the only way to get a definitive answer

if you are exclusively breastfeeding, you might have less chance of being pregnant and you period might not have returned due to the breastfeeding.

no point panicking, you have to find out

Should I leave it a while or do a test soon? There have been no other incidents.

i would test tomorrow, if you can , with the first wee of the day.

all it takes is one incident and one sperm

2 + weeks after the event, esp if you are not breastfeeding and did not take MAP shuold give you the correct result

Whoopsybigtime · 25/02/2009 18:17

ok, will get one tomorrow

Stretchy mucus...did it look like raw egg white?

If so, that's fertile mucus which would indicate that ovulation is approaching pobably within the next six days. As soon as you see that mucus you are in your fertile time. As you had sex two weeks before the onset of the fertile mucus it would be very unlikely you could be pregnant.

But watch out from now on or you could get caught!!

This is the return of your normal monthly cycle after the birth of your baby. Expect to see your period in the next two to three weeks but be sure you use contraception from now on if you don't wish to be pregnant again too soon.

Any news????

Whoopsybigtime · 27/02/2009 13:11

Oh dear. Sorry you are feeling so worried. It really is better to get it over with - often the not knowing is much worse than the reality. It is unlikley but not impossible - take a few deep breaths and go for it x
Good luck !

I really can't bring myself to buy one. Feel too stupid, like some daft teenager.

You aren't a daft teenager - you are a Mum. We all make mistakes and don't forget you do have all your hormones still raging around you - not to mention all the lack of sleep. You are doing great, don't be too hard on yourself. Can you get someone in RL to come over and give you a bit of a shoulder to cry on? Please don't keep torturing yourself - best to know one way or the other.

Whoopsybigtime · 27/02/2009 13:41

I know, thanks.

Buy a test if you are seriously stressing about it! Don;t ruin your weekend if it's constantly on your mind.

Good luck, and I'm 100% sure you're not...
