is low oestradiol good or bad? and how is affected by bf?

I've had my day 2 hormone tests back. (I'm 35) LH=5, FSH=5.4, but oestradiol=79pmol/L. The normal range appears to be 100-750, so I'm low, and apparently in the post-menopausal range. But I've seen other normal ranges like 37-185 and this suggests lower oestradiol is worse. So what is right?

Also, I am still bf (1yo dc, twice/24hours), which I thought was ok because:

  1. normal 27 day cycled returned at 6 weeks
  2. wee sticks detect an LH surge on day 15
  3. temperature rises from day 17/18
In fact my charts look almost identical to when I ttc dc1.

But is the oestradiol too low? And, if it is, is it a result of bf (in which case I must consider stopping) or likely to be unconnected (in which case I would rather let dc make the decision).

Thanks for any help!
