Has anyone gotten a bfp at 6 weeks?

Not sure if this is the right place to put this and I'm sure it's been done a million times

I had a bfp yesterday which counting from my last cycle would be approx 6 weeks pg, I have done millions a few tests which were either bfn or so faint that I discounted as evap lines.

My cycle is usually 26 days give or take a couple (although last cycle was randomly 42 days). Is it possible that I am actually 6 weeks and it just didn't show until now, or is it more likely that I ov'ed late and am actually 4 weeks.

Phew

I'd say more likely you ovulated late, as once implanted your HcG levels double every couple of days.

I ovulate anything from day 14 to day 24! (this month!) grrrr!

Congratulations though!

Just don't let dr's panic you who say "you are small for your dates" or whatever- silly dr's often have a rigid notion that ovulation happens on day 14!

If your last cycle was 42 days I would think that this one was a long one too and so you are in fact about 4 weeks pregnant and have got your BFP bang on when you should have iyswim Congratulations!

Ooh I never thought about the date confusion, do you think I should just erm fib to the doctors, and say I have no idea or bring my lmp forward 2 weeks. You don't get a scan here until 20 weeks and as I am likely to have a section and Ds was massive. Thanks for your messages, I agree that the late ov thing is more likely.

With the variable cycle length and the 'late' BFP I think you've got a good case for asking for a dating scan - just ask your GP to refer you.

Thanks Northern Lurker I will give it a few weeks (hopefully no m/c) and see the Dr.
