Hi all,

AF arrived on Sunday so now if we are successful this cycle and it's as long as this last one baby would be due early December 2009. Anyone else?

georgimama - snap on the spotting and wanting to eat crap, been like that for the last 48 hours trying to convince myself that it could be a sign of pregnancy too.

Not out yet so fingers crossed for both of us!

wasabipeanut · 26/03/2009 20:20

I might join you all on a Sunday test if I last that long. I'm CD30 today and should have been due today (normal LP is 12 days). Had bit of spotting yesterday but stopped today.

No way I'm testing yet - didn't ov until at least CD18.

georgimama · 26/03/2009 20:21

Although, it could be a sign of pregnancy too.

I was all fussy and not wanting to be touched in bed the last couple of nights and DH pointed out that I was like that in early pregnancy with DS.

That or I'm just a miserable hormonal cow.

nickytwotimes · 26/03/2009 20:25

I am due on Saturday, but know AF is on it's way.

I'll hild out a few dasy then move over to january.

Hope for some more BFPs before then though.

nickytwotimes · 26/03/2009 20:26

HOLD out a few DAYS that is!

NakedInnocence · 26/03/2009 20:48

It would be way fairer if pregnancy had one set of symptoms and periods a totally different set . Everything is so bloody interchangable

Hopefully is we have a mass testing session on Saturday (if we last that long) there will be at least some BFPs to join lishy and FAIKI

anniecam38 · 26/03/2009 20:51

CONGRATULATIONS Lishy-so pleased for you.

Well i really dont know what is going on with my body at the moment, still having AF like mild cramps but not constantly and they are off more than on, im still running to the loo as often as i can to check but nada.Sorry if TMI but ive got quite a lot of CM which i normally get when pregnant as well. Boobs are more swollen today, but maybe because AF is imminent.
If AF hasnt arrived by Saturday, im going to hold out til Sunday to test.

NakedInnocence · 26/03/2009 20:53

anniecam38 - sounds like it could be promising, you could always join us and test on Saturday.

I'm know exactly what you mean about the running to the loo, I might as well just move in there tonight

gizzy1973 · 26/03/2009 20:55

i think i need to join the december thread as found out today am pregnant - my dates make baby due december but the online checks come up with novermber 28th so not too sure on date

NakedInnocence · 26/03/2009 22:38

Congrats gizzy1973 - that's 3 BFP's for the thread

I guess you could join either Nov or Dec threads. Is it your first?

Hopefully there;ll be lots more BFPs over the weekend

NakedInnocence · 27/03/2009 07:47

I'm out - AF greeted me this morning, miserable witch

I knew the likelihood of catching in our first proper month of trying was slim but feeling sad that we won't have a 2009 baby.

Can't help be a tidy bit worried though, we stopped using protection at Christmas and had 2 cycles of seeing what happened (not that we had enough bd with one thing and another!). Nothing did happen and again nothing from this month were we bd regularly. Again I know 3 months is nothing.

Onwards and upwards I guess

[sorry if that last part was insensitive to those who've been trying for a long time]

Catz · 27/03/2009 07:58

Sorry to hear that NI and congratulations Gizzy. I have read every post on the thread but have just been lurking as last time joined an antenatal thread properly I think I jinxed myself as I had the longest cycle length ever! It's probably cheating a bit to post at this stage but I got a BFP this morning!

For all you symptoms spotters, i had virtually no symptoms this month and was convinced I'd get a BFN. Had a dizzy spell and some hot flushes exactly a week after ov and felt very mildly nauseous occasionally but nothing I'd notice if I wasn't looking for it. Boobs not sore despite prodding and squeezing them every 5 mins! It was pretty much the same with DD till 5/6 weeks so not worried yet.

NI, we'd been 'seeing what happened' for 2/3 months but decided to do ov sticks this month and I realised I was ovulating later than I thought so we'd not been bding at the right times. I'm really glad we did them.

Sorry for the essay!

NakedInnocence · 27/03/2009 08:21

Congrat Catz, that's fab news you must be over the moon

Thanks for the advice about the ov sticks. I did think about them but due to work I wouldn't be able to use them in the afternoon / early evening and was previously told that they were no good if used in the morning. Ho hum, I guess they're worth a try.

anniecam38 · 27/03/2009 08:21

Congrats on the BFP,s Gizzy and Catz. NI-IM gutted for you hun, im sure you,ll get your BFP next month, are you joining the January bus? If you are im sure i,ll see you there as i could put money on it that AF will turn up tomorrow for me.

Hope we see some more BFP,s on here in the next few days.

anniecam38 · 27/03/2009 08:24

NI I used ov sticks for the first time this month and i tested around 7-7.30pm, it says best time to test is between 2pm-10pm.

NakedInnocence · 27/03/2009 08:30

anniecam - hope AF stays away and you get a BFP this month, if not the Jan bus is already getting pretty lively.

Suspect that ov stick could be my undoing though as I'll become obsessed about gettng a positive and become totally fixated if I don't!

Think I'll do one more month of every other day from CD5 - CD21 and then look at temping or ov sticks the following month.

Congratulations to Gizzy and Catz

Nice to see some happy news. Sadly I cracked and testing this morning at what I think is about 13 days po and got an emphatic BFN. You know sometimes you get a little "is there a line? maybe? etc." but there wasn't even a shadow!

Arse. Oh well, cheers!

Best of luck to everyone else - I'm off to the January bus. xx

4thtimelucky · 27/03/2009 09:47

Morning ladies!

Big congrats to Catz and Gizzy!

Sorry AF got you NI, its been said time and again on this thread (and no doubt others!)about the frustration of symptoms being so similar.

Finally had chance to have a RL rant about my angst this week with DP - he's been very practical about it all and says maybe it's messed up with the coil coming out and that he's fairly sure my cycle before the coil was longer than 28 days so it being cd30 today is no biggie - how on earth he remembers stuff like this is beyond me, twenty quid says he forgets to pick up the pressie for his friends 40th tonight!

Then immediately felt guilty for being so self obsessed about all this ttc lark as we then went to see FIL in hospital who is uncomfortable and in pain and for the big rugby player size bloke he is and despite his usual quality sarcasm really did look like a little old man in the hospital bed. And MIL looked absolutely shattered too.

Tillyscoutsmum · 27/03/2009 10:09

4thtime - sorry to hear about your FIL Hope you get some good news to raise everyone's spirits

Congrats Catz and Gizzy [grin[ Sorry about AF NI

Well, I got positive OPK on Tuesday and Wednesday (although Tuesday was a bit stronger iyswim). We have BD'd every other day since Saturday and might do one for good luck for tonight (if either of us have the energy ). I am actually enjoying the trying bit . DD is a bad sleeper and we are constantly knackered so our sex life hadn't been especially great before ttc but I've enjoyed making the effort Sorry if TMI

Talking of TMI, I do have a really gross question but I'm not sure if its a bit much... I may name change and do a separate thread..

NakedInnocence · 27/03/2009 10:12

4thtime - sorry to hear about your FIL, hope he's better soon. I remember when my dad was in hospital (also big rugby player type) and looked like a little old man. Really knocked for for six so hugs to you and DP.

Tilly - I've come to the conclusion there is no such thing as TMI on these threads so ask away.

nickytwotimes · 27/03/2009 10:23

Congrats to the new graduates.
I am getting off the bus - AF arrived this morning with a vengance...
Never mind, it's fun trying
Hope there will be a few more happy outcomes before the end of the thread.

Tillyscoutsmum · 27/03/2009 10:25

OK is really is pretty vile, so don't read if you're eating ......

Errrmmm - how do I put this ?

Right - after sex a lot of stuff seems to come back out I can't help thinking that most of the sperm end up in the toilet and therefore won't be getting to where they're supposed to be iyswim. Last night, I tried keeping my legs in the air (like some kind of mad obsessed woman) and then went to sleep (which was gross - I usually like to "clean up a bit" after iyswim) but when I went to the loo this morning, lots still came back out

So - normal ? worrying too much ? a bit of a freak of nature ?

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 27/03/2009 10:26

Normal. Normal. Normal.

Tillyscoutsmum · 27/03/2009 10:31

Sorry - nicky - x posted. Sorry AF got you

Hey MrsJoe - I can not come to the meet up now I've discussed such intimate things with you

How are you doing ? AF here ? Will you do another test ?
