Hi all,

AF arrived on Sunday so now if we are successful this cycle and it's as long as this last one baby would be due early December 2009. Anyone else?

Only because I'm madder than a box of frogs and you feel normal by comparison!

So, I'm on day 29, usually 28-30 day cycle when on Metformin (loopy otherwise) so when to test?

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 26/03/2009 11:46

Oooh, you kept that quiet! I'm thinking today Sunday?

georgimama · 26/03/2009 12:06

Sunday it is then, if no AF before then - which there won't be whether pg or not because my mental mind will keep her at bay till then anyway!

arrghhhh!

Hobnobfanatic · 26/03/2009 12:19

Congratulations, Lishy! The tide is turning on this thread - I think we'll be awash with BFPs soon, there are lots of promising signs!

alfiesmadmother · 26/03/2009 12:38

LISHY!! Congratulations!!!!! Woop woop!

I am on CD23 so 5 or 6 days until AF due but my jeans have suddenly got really tight maybe too much cheese though. Also very constipated . Have to wait loooong days now. May test on Sunday 2 days before AF due- or maybe not, have been here before!

NakedInnocence · 26/03/2009 12:42

georgimama - I'm in exactly the same position as you, day 29 with a 28 - 30 day usual cycle length (even though last month gave me a 31 dayer just to confuse me!). No AF yet but scared of testing

Have had every symptom under the sunf or the last couple of days, but don't know which are real and which I'm imagining Getting some cramping this morning which could be AF about to arrive, it's all so totally confusing.

Congrats to lishy and FAIKI - good luck to everyone else.

sunshineday · 26/03/2009 12:57

Congratulations to lishy and FAIKI on getting your BFP

Tillyscoutsmum · 26/03/2009 14:00

Ooh - lots of people due AF sometime soon. I predict some BFP's for the weekend (and it has been said that I am psycho psychic )

Lishylooloo · 26/03/2009 14:30

Thanks everyone, I'm over the moon. It doesn't feel that real yet but I guess it will in a couple of weeks when the morning sickness kicks in! Apart from DH I just told my Mum and that's until I hit the three months. I've mc'd before so fingers crossed everything will go ok.

I did a test on day 35 and had a negative so there is still a chance for those waiting. I was trying to wait until tomorrow but I caved in this morning (day 39!) as DH encouraged me to do the test but at the same time was so cute saying in advance don't be disappointed, that he'd be very happy to start trying again. Anyway the second pink line showed up in seconds.

I never really understood temping and all that but ov tests worked very well for me. My heart really goes out to those of you who have been trying for a while now. Fingers and everything else crossed we'll see some more BFP's here soon!!!

4thtimelucky · 26/03/2009 15:03

Wishing you only the very best of health for the next 9 months, Lishy

I feel a lot more positive today after remembering that it's only our first cycle trying so don't know what I am so worked up about. And I am trying, very trying, not to symptom spot too [wonders off to loo to make sure no AF, check boobs, etc etc]

georgimama · 26/03/2009 15:25

Right then Naked, up for testing on Sunday? To be truly scientific we ought to use the same brand (you too MrsJM and any others who feel ready) - First Response anyone?

georgimama · 26/03/2009 15:32

4thtimelucky - and others - you may find this reassuring:

From the NHS online library:

What advice can I give a woman planning pregnancy about how long it is likely to take to become pregnant?

Advise women planning pregnancy that for every 100 couples having sexual intercourse 2 to 3 times a week:
Around 30 will conceive within 1 month.
Around 60 will conceive within 6 months.
Around 85 will conceive within 1 year.

The remainder will take longer and some of these may need help for them to conceive.

So without the fannying about charting/temping/obsessing, 85% of women having regular unprotected sex will be pregnant within a year.

That's got to be a yay hasn't it?

fatandiknowit · 26/03/2009 16:12

Yay - congratulations lishy

Hopefully more of you will be joing us in bfp corner soon

4thtimelucky · 26/03/2009 16:20

Georgimama, thank you! As if I needed and an excuse to jump make sweet love with DP every other night - am sure he won't complain too much! Apologies in advance dear neighbours

If AF isn't here by then, I think I might join you on Sunday.

Where I work until Sept last year, there had been SMP payments every month for the last 8 years (on a staff of 30 odd!) including 6 off on ML in 07 so the office grapevine is busrting with sweepstake for the next batch of us and I am way up there so it'd be a shame to disappoint the gossipmongers

NakedInnocence · 26/03/2009 16:21

I will use First Response on Sunday with you georgimama, however I will be testing at 3:30 in the morning as I have to leave the house by 4!

I am fighting the urge to test in the morning which would be CD30 - please tell me that would be okay dissuade me

georgimama · 26/03/2009 16:30

I'll be on CD30 tomorrow too.

We could..... maybe......

4thtimelucky · 26/03/2009 16:32

Naked and Georgimama - I'd be cd30 tomrrow too...what about Saturday morning as a compromise. Surely 1 out of the 3 of us must get a BFP??

nunnie · 26/03/2009 16:37

I am due my AF on the 20th April can anyone wait that long to test so I have company

georgimama · 26/03/2009 16:39

Saturday? MrsJM are you up for Saturday?

nunnie if I haven't had AF by 20th April I will happily pee on a stick with you.

nunnie · 26/03/2009 16:42

thanks georgimama.

I think this Saturday might be too early for me, AF will still be here

Good luck ladies and I will keep 3 things crossed for you so you can all get a nice shiny BFP.

NakedInnocence · 26/03/2009 17:14

I'll go for Saturday (don't think I'm going to hold until Sunday!), just have to hope AF doesn't turn up before then.

Have decided that I'm going to go with clear blue digital though as need these things spelt out for me or I'll be second guessing lines all day!

BFP for all of us I say

alfiesmadmother · 26/03/2009 19:32

And I have just ordered some cheapo ebay tests so they should come by Monday, may be tempted to test then. Does any one know if they are any good??

NakedInnocence · 26/03/2009 19:37

alfiesmadmother - never used them myself but heard a lot of people on here mention them so guess they must be pretty good.

I think I may be out soon - had pretty bad cramping for the last couple of hours - just been to the loo and when I wiped there was a tiny bit of CM which was brownish [sorry too much information] so guess I may be moving over to the Jan bus soon

Hobnobfanatic · 26/03/2009 19:52

Nunnie my AF is due 16th April, so I'll be looking to pee on sticks around the 20th! Add me to your party!

georgimama · 26/03/2009 19:55

Oh, NI, that's crap. It may be nothing.

I am convinced AF is starting too, no signs yet but just feel all uncomfortable, spotty and wanting to eat crap.
