Hi all,

AF arrived on Sunday so now if we are successful this cycle and it's as long as this last one baby would be due early December 2009. Anyone else?

No AF not arrived yet. Did another test yesterday (damn those ebay ones), another BFN. I can feel AF coming though. Witch.

I'm OK, I'm just lurking.

And yes, you are coming to the meet up. I always think, 'Jaysus, how much of that were you storing up?'

georgimama · 27/03/2009 10:51

I did a test this morning.

BFN.

No AF yet, I was really starting to think I was pg as very bloaty and hormonal/snappy.

So not only am I not pg, I am fat and mean. Great.

TSM - that is totally normal btw. This ttc lark with a toddler already on board is not easy is it? If DS is sleeping well, I do sometimes think no I don't want a shag actually, I want to go to sleep.

Lishylooloo · 27/03/2009 10:59

Congrats Gizzy and Catz! sounds like we'll have some more BFP's here this weekend. Good luck to those hopping on the January bus. Enjoy the 'ride' and I hope you get to your desired destination very very soon!

I suppose those of us with BFP's should be on an antenatal board now but I'll probably not join until three months have passed as I'll probably be very sick, if last time is anything to go by and this time I have a 1 year old to look after so don't think I would have the time to post. I'll just lurk here for a while longer

skihorse · 27/03/2009 11:07

Congrats to the BPFs!

Tillyscoutsmum - totally normal and I'm with you, if I'm washing this stuff away am I lowering my chances? So... for us, no more morning sex during OV week because otherwise I jump straight in the shower & off to work. I prefer it at night to let it all "soak in" for an hour or two.

4thtimelucky · 27/03/2009 11:23

TSM and Skihorse, agree must be normal, gravity and all that I guess but lol at the soaking in!

Not quite got as far as giving up sex at a specific time of the day...given stress of week and DP being away on course, we nearly pulled a duvet day together but then guilt kicked in - would be beyond mean wallowing in bed knowing MIL walking to hospital and back for morning and afternoon visiting when we are a few mins drive away as opposed to in work where we should be!

Oh Georgimama, sorry for the BFN, I've done so many this week have resolved not to do anymore until after the weekend. Will there be anymore of us with good news soon???? I am not thinking about the January bus yet.

4thtimelucky · 27/03/2009 11:23

And sorry too Mrs JM.

Someone somewhere must have some good news...

Hobnobfanatic · 27/03/2009 13:02

Just back from the doc's. She's told me to throw away my charts and that you can get pregnant virtually at any time of your month

Anyway, at 37, she thinks I'd have to go private, as our health trust only give IVF to younger people, even though my poor DP doesn't have any kids. But our docs can do a bloodtest for me at day 20, and check DP's sperm, so we have a fun month planned!

And she thought my temp was fine, and dismissed my panic about hypothyroidism and an early menopause.

In the meantime, we've just got to keep BDing... Please, please, please keep all your fingers crossed for us!

Tillyscoutsmum · 27/03/2009 13:37

Hobnob - will keep my fingers crossed. GP didn't exactly sound very helpful but at least you're getting some bloodtests done

Sorry to hear about more BFN's. Who'd have thought it could all be so bloody difficult ?!

Did anyone watch the Great Sperm Race last week btw ?

Will have to avoid putting my legs in the air after - DH didn't like the implication that his sperm needed any help

Hobnobfanatic · 27/03/2009 13:43

Thanks, Tillysoundsmum. Didn't see the Great Sperm Race - anything that we should know about?

Tillyscoutsmum · 27/03/2009 13:52

It was interesting and certainly made me realise why getting pregnant can be so difficult (those little swimmers have a lot to get through before getting to the target. Sort of like an army assault course with a blindfolded archery practice at the end of it . Worth watching imho. You can watch again on the Channel 4 website

Warmseabreeze · 27/03/2009 13:54

The Great Sperm Race is on Sky anytime until the 31st March - so u can watch it again if u have Sky. The most interesting thing I found out is that it takes the sperm about 14 hours to get the right place , i'd always thought they would have reached there while u had your bum in the air!

4thtimelucky · 27/03/2009 13:59

Am bored of this now - no BFP, no AF, no nothing. Feeling a hell of a lot less sickly than earlier in the week but my boobs and especially my nipples are sore and feel bigger each day to me (when I asked DP what he thought about the size of my boobs last nigth and this morning his answer was typically male but what made me think it'd be anything else?!). My last AF was def 26/27 Feb so this makes me cd29 or 30. If nothing by Monday, that's 32 or 33 and that is definitely exceptional and if no BFP then will be .

Hobnobfanatic · 27/03/2009 14:24

Still sounds too early for a test 4th time. It takes a whole after you're late for the hormones to show up on the tests. Stay positive - the result could still be positive! Your norks are telling you something - trust them!

georgimama · 27/03/2009 14:36

MY last AF started 26th Feb 4times. You are defo on cycle day 30 like me.

I am still hoping I was testing a bit early this morning.

I didn't watch that programme (sounds really interesting though) I think bearing in mind what our bodies actually have to do it is a miracle anyone is ever born. We will get there. My consultant (someone else on here posted something similar once so perhaps she had the same one) once told me - I was pregnant by this point and stressing "every single person you walk past in the street is the result of a successful pregnancy."

liahgen · 27/03/2009 16:18

to all ladies who have af, to those with BFP's.

Apologies for advance tmi but wondering if i can imagine some pg symptoms for myself.

Am 7 days dpo now and have got quite thick cm at mo. anyone with experinece of this?

Am still bf 22mth old twice a day and can feel it last few days whereas normally just latch her on, and lay there dozing.

Someome stop me obsessing please and tie my hands up so i can't start testing from Monday

nickytwotimes · 27/03/2009 19:31

at you getting back on bus. Could be early and sneak in Christmas baby.

Got no tests indoors and busy over weekend so won't be getting any. Monday it is then. Mind you that'll still be 5 days early. (ponders whether i can resist)

anniecam38 · 27/03/2009 22:33

Went and bought double pack of hpt,s today, wasnt going to test till Sunday, but going out for friend,s birthday bash on Saturday night now, so want to know before tomorrow night wether i am up the duff or not.
AF is due tomorrow and am still having the cramps on and off. If im not pregnant-which in all honesty i dont think i am- im going to get bladdered tomorrow night

anniecam38 · 28/03/2009 07:12

OMG-ive just done a test and its a BFP . I am in shock, i cannot believe it!!
Please let this bean be a sticky one.
Sending lots of baby dust to everyone else waiting to test. Will be back this afternoon to see if we get any more BFP,s, off to a course through work this morning-dont think i will learn anything at all as my mind is on other things .

nunnie · 28/03/2009 08:16

Cangratulations anniecam sticky dust coming your way.

Tillyscoutsmum · 28/03/2009 08:37

Congrats anniecam - no getting bladdered for you tonight then (small price to pay though )

Here's to a weekend of BFP's

Hobnobfanatic · 28/03/2009 09:35

Congrats Anniecam! Excellent news!
Good luck to everyone else who's testing - looks like it'll be a lucky weekend

zen1980 · 28/03/2009 11:40

Hey everyone,

Well i test this morning with cheap ebay ones and BFN, completly dont understand as am on day 39. Although I did think i ov twice this month
so could this still mean i am on fresh 2ww oh i dont know soooo confused af has NEVER been this late. I have a proper test in the cupboard do you think its worth trying that tomorrow?

zen1980 · 28/03/2009 11:44

Sorry guys BIG Congrats to the BFPS and sorry for you with BFN let next month be your month!! xxx

donttrythisathome · 28/03/2009 13:02

Hobnob,
I'm trespassing here to tell you I have the same temperature issue! I'm to be found on the January thread usually!
I started to chart last month and highest temp was 98, this month am down in the 96s e.g. 96.5 yesterday. Also paranoid re hypothyroidism, but wary of self-diagnosis. I'm going to the nurse in the GP surgery on Thursday so will mention it and let you know what she says. I think it might be a normal range, though on the low side.
Hope you can get onto this link (if you can be bovvered!) where I posted a question about temps yesterday.
