**Hoping for December 2009 babies - lets join together**

Hi all,

AF arrived on Sunday so now if we are successful this cycle and it's as long as this last one baby would be due early December 2009. Anyone else?

It is hard to relax but I am really trying this cycle. I know its the biggest cliche in the world, but I did get pg with dd when I started to chill out a bit. We'd been trying for 18 months, I'd had 2 mc's and we decided to stop ttc for a few months and blow our "baby savings" on a fantastic holiday to the Maldives. Guess where dd was conceived ?!

Wassabe, so sorry you're so down, mc's are just awful. I had one too before DD.

It's day 38 here (how ridiculous is that?) and I have not caved in and done a test. I'm thinking of doing one tomorrow... not sure I can wait until Friday, I feel like day 40 is a luckier day than day 39 though...

For those who are obsessing about ttc, the best thing to do is to make plans for the future (short or long term) that don't involve being pregnant or a baby. Sounds mad I know, but apparently stress is a big factor in conceiving so let's make some plans (that can be easily cancelled, just in case). So, right now, I am planning on buying some lovely figure hugging summer dresses, you know the kind you wouldn't dream about wearing if you were pregnant . I think I will also plan on going on a wine tasting course

Anyone else got some plans ?

Oh MJM, if you were arrogant & naive then join the club! I spent years desperately trying to avoid getting pregnant, believing it was my right to conceive when ready. Now the time is right nothings happening!

Telling yourself to relax is the hardest thing, isn't it?

Love the idea of making plans that don't involve pg, just to fool your brain.

DP has mentioned a holiday in the Maldives for us - a good omen maybe?

Those faint af like cramps of earlier have gone but all my other symptoms remain so on going out to get my spicy sandwich at lunch just to get some taste sensation, also bought a first response which, suprise bloody surprise, was negative. Did buy a double pack tho so will try again Friday if no AF.

Can my mind be that powerful all this is in my head? And if my mind is that powerful why won't it do my bloody stupid manangement report for me as easily as it's deluding me over TTC???????????

The price of ov sticks/pg tests is absolutely shocking. The tinternet is the way forward ladies. They may not give you a smiley face when your eggs are cooked but are a damn sight cheaper!

Being defeatist won't actually stop us conceiving though (unless we give up shagging too).

MrsJM, have you actually tested yet?

I am a big advocate of making plans which not only don't involve a pregnancy, but are actively ruined by one. I applied for a new job and got it, only to find out 2 days later I was pg with DS1. I chose not to take it as didn't want to cope with that and pregnancy.

Go and apply for a new job - you'll be up the duff in no time!

Georgimama - stupendous plan! This one is driving me up the wall anyway but in my field at this time (blah media blah) might be tricky! Will wait for this AF to arrive then maybe I will stuff the media hype and go for it anyway, along with signing up for the 10k in July that some other friends are doing and book the trip to Bali for our annual girls bash...

This made me smile tho - just noticed on the list there are 2 "ski" related monikers (Skihorse and Skibelle), here's sending you both good vibes for a good month this month so you don't miss too much of next season! Unless of course the refs to ski are nothing to do with skiing at all! Perhaps should change my name to 4thonskis or something?!!

I wouldn't dream of testing unless af was actually late. I am quite superstitious about these things. However, I did spend a lot of time looking at the pg tests in Tesco during my lunch hour. I did the same yesterday!

I need a plan that a pregnancy will ruin then.

I can't apply for a new job, I am a trainee solicitor so I'm in a fixed contract and can't leave. In fact I was hoping the fact that maternity leave will delay my qualification by at least 6 months would do the trick, but so far proving not awkward enough for fate to bite.

I could go on a diet I suppose - I turned 30 in January and I would love to shift at least 1.5 stone and keep it off in the long term. I don't want to weigh 12 stone anymore. I used to weigh 14 stone so this is a considerable improvement, but I want to be a size 12 - waahh!

I am on a diet but quite reticently. However, as I haven't lost the baby weight I put on with dd, I admit that becoming pg would be a bit of a concern, weight wise! I also want to be a size 12, but I want a baby more.

Just updated myself because I'm pretty sure my cd1 was when I started bleeding properly rather than the spotting etc. the few days before, so I was a few days out....
