Hi all,

AF arrived on Sunday so now if we are successful this cycle and it's as long as this last one baby would be due early December 2009. Anyone else?

Never gone this far in 18 years of AF!

I think you might be right Blocka - definitely just got to hang on in there and wait

How are you guys doing anyway - I don't want to dominate the thread?

georgimama · 22/03/2009 17:22

Feel free, reading about other people's obsessiveness takes my mind off symptom spotting!

4thtimelucky · 22/03/2009 17:57

faiki, sending stress relieving hugs your way.

This completely de-stressed me Friday night in bed - chatting to DP about how anxious I was and thinking had we been lucky on hols then it should have implanted and he dived straight under the covers to talk to the it that might be in there and I couldn't help but laugh and laugh and laugh as he went on amongst other things about bitter vs white wine, skiing vs snowboarding and then rounded off by saying that if anything is there, you must be nice to your mother and not make her sick or anything bad over the next few months! And I won't go much further than that ...

After the stress of single friends thinking TTC was mad right now, it made me feel so much better. To add to that he is hoovering right now too!

Here's hoping for some BFP's this week x

bluespix77 · 22/03/2009 19:07

Hi, my AF arrived on Friday and so painful all weekend! I'll need to jump on the due Jan '10 bus. Good luck to the rest of you.

thesoo · 22/03/2009 20:50

Hi,

Mine arrived today too. It has been a very weepy evening.

Good luck to all. Take care xx

Lishylooloo · 22/03/2009 21:07

Sorry thesoo and bluespix. Hope you have better luck next time!

I've been achy low down all day yesterday and today. Please let it be implantation! unlikely though...

Hobnobfanatic · 22/03/2009 22:19

Well, I could just about squeeze a Dec baby - so have added myself to the end now. If no luck this month or next, I'm off to the docs with DP to get us checked over...

Keep us posted FAIKI- and so sorry to hear of all the AFs. I've been feeling crap and panicky all weekend thanks to my AF's arrival.

hel9a · 23/03/2009 05:47

ok so I can't do the delete thing....

fatandiknowit · 23/03/2009 08:52

Still no AF

But a friend of mine told me that I shouldn't have drunk 2 pints of lemonade to make myself wee before taking it...

which might explain my negative tests.

Gonna give it til Wednesday and test again

georgimama · 23/03/2009 08:58

No lemonade not a good idea! You want first thing in the morning wee if you are testing fairly early - very dilute urine is not going to contain enough hormone for the pee stick to pick up the hcg.

Lishylooloo · 23/03/2009 09:10

Yep, you should definitely test first thing in the morning but it still could be few days before anything shows up.

Day 36 here and still no AF. I am going to be really bummed if it arrives not only because I won't be pg but because with this v long cycle it will be ages before I can try again...

Has anyone got pg on tis thread yet? I looked back a bit and couldn't see any yet...

Tillyscoutsmum · 23/03/2009 09:15

No BFP's yet ...

Good luck to all those testing soon and sorry to the ones who have AF

Hobnobfanatic · 23/03/2009 09:23

Temperature question...
My pre-ovulation temperatures are off all the charts you get on the internet! They are below all the lowest ones! Today, my basal reading was 96.50. Is this okay? After ov, last month, it went up to the 97s, but never above 98. All the charts I've found start at 97 - which leads me to believe I've abnormal .

What are everyone else's temperatures? Just interested to know!

Sorry you're out for this month, hel9a, and good luck to those waiting to test. Sounds promising, lishy and faiki

Rtuff · 23/03/2009 09:31

FAIKI I'm in exactly the same position as you, 4 days late now and still no AF or any signs of AF arriving.... I used a ClearBlue yesterday morning hoping for a BFP for Mothers Day but unfortunately it was a BFN!!!

Where is AF????

Do Preg Tests show up as +ive soon as AF is due or late????

I'm so confused! I have never NEVER been this late!!

georgimama · 23/03/2009 09:47

Not necessarily Rtuff - it really does depend as if you were actually pregnant on the day you expected AF to start you could be anything from 21 days to 7 days post conception - the hormone levels may still be too low.

When I got pregnant with DS my nephew's girlfriend told me she was also pregnant - 3 weeks! Not knowing much about conception I thought "you can't be 3 weeks pregnant, you're not even late yet, hopw would you know?" but she was right, she'd done a first response 6 days before AF due and she was pregnant.

I always try to wait until AF is at least 7 days late.

Rtuff · 23/03/2009 09:53

In that case i will wait until Thursday Morning untill i do another test (Thats if AF hasn't appeared).

I think i tested about a week after AF was due when i had DS, but then i was on the pill so i wasn't expecting it therefore i wasn't obssessing about it either... So here goes another 3 day wait....

fatandiknowit · 23/03/2009 10:02

rtuff I have so much sympathy with you right now..

I am MAKING myself wait until Wednesday then am going to test in the morning without the influence of lemonade!

Tough couple of days ahead! In a nice way though!

4thtimelucky · 23/03/2009 10:16

FAIKI, Wednesday morning is less than 48 hours away, so in less than 2 days that BFP might be yours!

Been feeling rough all weekend and could have slept for England but convinced nothing else apart from low cramping that isn't like period pain - think this is me going symptom spotting crazy as surely nothing can have changed in me that quickly especially as last time was pg was 10 weeks before I even realised! Oh the ignorance of youth!

Went back through my last few cycles to work out dates and the last 3 have only been 27 days so I might test on Friday. But if this is also a 27 day cycle then the days I thought might have worked probably won't have. How is it this complicated?!

Lishylooloo · 23/03/2009 10:52

From what I've read, it can take a while after conception for implantation to occur, up to 12 days I think. (but it could be more or less depending on individually cases) The hcg levels start to rise once implantation occurs and rise more every day after this. It is this hcg that the tests are looking for. If you know when you ovulated it would have been during ovulation that you conceived. Thus if it has been 12 days or more since then a pg test has a chance of finding the hcg. Also some pg tests are very sensitive and can find very low levels of hcg (as low as 20 MIU) while some need to find a lot more (up to 150 MIU) I think the boots brand can detect 50 MIU.

So if I use myself as an example: My ov test was positive on the 12th of March which means I should have ovulated in the day or two after that - let's say it was the 14th. Today is the 24th so it has been only 10 days which may be not enough time for a pg test to detect anything. Last time it took quite a while for the pg test to pick it up. Or it could be just that my AF is about to arrive.

fairywing · 23/03/2009 12:26

Hi ladies, mind if i join you?? I am in my first cycle of trying to conceive after a miscarriage at the beginning of the year. I am on day 17 of a usually 29-30 day cycle. I desperately want to be pregnant again and would love a little Christmas baby so keeping everything crossed...well...amost everything

Hobnobfanatic · 23/03/2009 13:01

Just googled (i know, I know - I shouldn't!) low BBTs and now I'm petrified I have hypothyroidism. Does anyone temp here? If you do, please let me know your approx pre- and post- BBTs.

Worried sick now

Tillyscoutsmum · 23/03/2009 13:07

Hobnob - step away from Google . I don't temp so can't help but I would have thought there might be more obvious symptoms if it were thyroid problems...?
