Early period whilst on Cyclogest or is it just normal spotting?

Hi

6 days ago I had my 3rd IUI on the NHS. My last IUI was successful but sadly ended in miscarriage at 7 weeks

This time, my consultant has prescribed me cyclogest - 400mg, which I have been taking sonce the IUI. Today on day 25 of what's usually a 32-33 day cycle, I'm experiencing some brown spotting. I'm hoping that this may be implantation, although I never had this during my last early pregnancy

I'm a bit confused, since I was told and have read, that cyclogest can in fact delay your period, so again am hoping that this isn't signs of my period coming. Anyone got an early period whilst taking cyclogest?

Just wanted to send you good wishes I have had IUI treatments and eventually concieved with ICSI.

When I was had treatment and indeed still I found a website called fertility friends you may know of them but the support I recieved there whilst undergoing IVF was brilliant. I've put in a link for you.

If you need any further support please feel free to send me a personal message, I will try and help if I can.

Wishing you all the very best.

It's IVF but it is where the sperm is injected directly into the egg.

I hope this IUI has worked for you. I do find the fertility friends a great site because people understand what you are going through and you'll normally find someone else in the same position.

Good luck Emzib

Hi all

Well, I'm having my 4th IUI tomorrow. Have a ripe 20mm follicle today, so had my HCG injection and raring to go tomorrow! I'm tempted to pass on the cyclogest pesaries this month, since they made me feel rotten last month...but I'm not sure. Any advice ?
