When to test?

How many days before your AF is due can you test? I'm due in 3 days and have a Boots test burning a hole in the drawer....have had cramping for the last 3 days

I think it depends from test to test and woman to woman.

I tested very faint positive 3 days before I was due with a boots test, but if you only have one test, I'd wait a couple of days to be sure of the result.

Also, make sure you do it in the morning with first wee to pick up the most accurate result.

Best to wait until AF is due - tests are always less reliable before then - and if it's negative you'll be torturing yourself for a few more days and wondering if it was just too early. It's hard but much better to hold off for the 3 extra days...
Btw I also had cramping around when my AF was due and was so convinced I was getting AF that didn't even think about testing (this was after TTC for almost a year) - then when it was 3 days overdue and still no sign, finally tested and got BFP.

Four days before AF due, tested this morning with Clear Blue. BFP
