tbh it actaully reduces your chances of conceiving (i presume you are talking about not having sex on certain days) because you dont always ov on CD14.

My SIL did it and it worked. She did it around the best days for each sex - something like earlier for girls, later for boys I think ?
Anyway - there is a site that works it out for you with an ovulation calendar. Can't recall the site but try googling 'vulation calendar'

Anymore?

dh and I are thinking about trying fr another and whilst either sex would be a joy if there is a way to sway things then we might give it a go.

i did everything to concieve a boy and got a girl (i had sex twice before i fell pg). i worked out that i ovulate on day 13 which it was my peak day of ovulation (and also it said on the CB Ov stick too)....so maybe dp's sperm were slow swimmers!

i used ebay cheap sticks and CB ovuation sticks too.

i adore my dd2 xx

We did vaguely try for a girl for no. 2 - had lots of sex early in the cycle, but I hadn't worked it out particularly precisely or anything. It did work though - now have one of each

I tried for a girl and got one! My friend gave me an article on it which she had followed - she maintains she 'chose' the sex of all 3 of hers. I passed it on to a friend who followed it and had a boy (after 2 girls).
I think there is scientific backup to the method but it relies on you having a very regular cycle. (Shame I don't keep track of mine - DC 3 was a happy accident but I have no idea where I was in my cycle when I concieved )

I bought the book and temped and used OPKs to find my OV day, For a boy you can only BD on OV day so after 6 months we gave up this method and BD every other day leading up to OV day. After 10 months I am finally PG and so relieved that I will be pleased with whatever I have. Have 2 DD's at the moment. Did find the method a tad difficult as I used Fertility Friend which only confirms OV day about 3 or 4 days after which is too late. My OV ranged from CD8 to CD16.

Hope you have some luck. If time was on my side I may have given it a bit longer.
