I would consider for yourself taking something like Pregnacare, which is a balanced multi-vit/mineral suitable for conception, pg and bf'ing.

I was advised by my homeopath and acupuncturist to take quite a variety of supplements.

The ones for ttc were Lamberts StrongStart (a pre-pregnany muti vit & mineral- which has the req'd amount of folic acid and no vit A) and Fish Oils (for Omega 3 & 6). They said I could take Eve Primrose but I couldn't face any more tabs.

Lamberts are available on internet and from natural health practitioners. Apparently with supplements the higher quality (unfortunatley higher price) ones are more beneficial.

Additionally I was quite run down and had recurrent thrush so I was advised to take Acidophilus, 500mg Vit C and Echinacea. It worked wonders. Also homeopath prescribed false unicorn root and agnus castus as Dr said I was not OV.

For DH a multi vit & mineral will be of great benefit and co-enzyme Q10, 50-90mg per day, will protect his sperm from damage and increase their motility.

Hope that helps

Oooo out of interest Minxie where did you find false unicorn root? I have been searching all over for it and can't find any anywhere... (am in the UK)

K - My homeopath ordered it for me but if you do a search you can purchase it online

false unicorn root is quite endangered which is why it's hard to get hold of - not worth it really unless you get through a quaified herbalist as the quality will be crud. which is unfortunatlely generally the case for getting any otc herbal remedies.

your homeopath will be able to get it as there's no active constituents in homeopathic remedies so doesn't matter if they're rare.
