OPK+ for three days in a row...

I wonder if anyone can help. I have half-heartedly used OPKs before and never actually got a +, but this cycle, on days 19, 20 and today (21) I have got a v v dark positive. I have got EWCM (lots) although this is much later in my cycle than usual as usually comes up to about CD18 then stops. Does anyone have experience of a +OPK for 3 days in a row, plus lots of EWCM? Does this mean my body is trying to ovulate but failing? BTW my cycle is usually only 27 days long, but I normally OV earlier I think. Thanks in advance.

Once you get a pos on an OPK you aren't supposed to take another test as all it means is that you will ovulate in next 12-48 hours or so. 3 in a row probably means the tests are just picking up the hormone trail.

Dunno about your ewcm, it can vary sometimes, the day you get it but it nearly always means you are fertile when you get it so make the most of it.

You could do with knowing when you ovulate usually by taking your temperature as a temperature shift is the only thing that can confirm it (other than medical tests). Have you started charting? It's really helpful in pinning down your most fertile days.

Hi, I've just been through this. I had a + for 4 days in a row. I knew I was supposed to be about to ov because I'd had an internal scan a few days before that showed a follicle just about to be released.

I kept testìing with the ov sticks (as well as b'ding every night....) and was getting papranoid thinking I'd never actually release the egg!! eventually on the 5th day the dark line started to lighten and then disappeared by the next morning....so presumably i did ov.

There's some really good info on ov sticks on a website called peeonastick either.com or .co.uk

Thanks ladies - I have just started temping this month and my temp went up by 0.2 degrees today - not enough to detect OV I don't think but maybe tomorrow...

OK well I know you're not meant to keep retesting, but I can't help it and today it was darker than ever! Way darker than the control line... WHat on earth is going on?! PLus, according to past cycles, my AF is due in 4 days
I have started to wonder whether it could be PCOS? I have not been diagnosed with this, but appraently this can lead to lots of positives. Although, prior to this I had never managed to get a positive on an OPK... ANy advice much appreciated...
