ClearBlue Conception Dating Pregnancy Tests - Please Help!

Hi - I have had lots of positive pregnancy tests and think I am about five weeks pregnant.

That is until today. I bought the new conception dating tests and the first one I did at 3pm came up 2/3 weeks (ie 4-5 weeks pregnant). So far so good.

Than I did something silly. At 9pm today I did another one and this time it came up 1/2 weeks (ie 3-4 weeks pregnant).

This implies to me that my hormone levels are decreasing which is not a good sign

Anyone got any similar experiences or views, postive or negative please help - many thanks.

no its just that your wee is weaker later on in the day thats all

Thanks dollyk - going to try again but too nervous, I will wait a few more days. Anyone else experience this?

I think this is a known problem with these tests - certainly I have seen a fair few threads like this one!

HCG levels can vary wildly from one woman to another and from pregnancy to pregnancy. Hospitals do blood HCG tests but would not attempt to date a pregnancy from them. And also dolly is right - first thing in the morning your wee and the hormone will be more concentrated.

I think unless you have a past history of pregnancy loss you should just relaxe and try to enjoy the pregnancy. Step away from the tests!

I would listen to Mrs Happy, from prev mn exp her advice is usually spot on, i wouldnt worry and just try and enjoy the pregnancy - i know thats ALOT easier said than done though xxxx

Hi Wishing and MrsHappy - thank you for that. I did another one this morning and it came up 4/5 weeks which is a better sign.

You are SO right - I am not doing another test and am going to try to chill out. I wish the damn things had never been invented, they are ideal to worry a neurotic hormonal mum-to-be!
