Is it just wishful thinking?

Hello I am new here so be gentle ;-)

I have been trying for my second child for 16months, I have an appointment for blood tests to be done in Feb to check I am ovulating ok.

I have been feeling different so I took a HPT the day before my period was due, I am very impatient by nature, it was negative.

I came on my period a day late, which is unusual for me. This period is not as heavy as usual or as dark (sorry tmi), I feel really quite sick and exhausted, I do not have sore nipples, but I am not sure if I did with my first.
With my first, I had the sickness, I never got any period, I went off the taste of coffee before I knew I was pregnant. This only similarity is the sickness feeling!

Am I just being hopeful or is it possible I could be pregnant?

Thanks

Welcome. Bumping for you but I suspect it is best to not get your hopes up.

Thanks, I was thinking that would be the case, it is so frustrating, I tried for 4 yrs with the first.
I haven't really been thinking about it until I got these symptoms. I try not to think about it, cos I know how I felt when I was trying for Freya, and how I cried every month my period came.
This time I promised myself, if it meant to be it will happen. I thought this was it.
How well get up dust myself off and get back on the horse (so to speak) my hubby will like the idea of being compared to a horse

It does appear to be getting heavier now, so I think it must be my period unfortunatly.
I will have blood test on 17th feb, and until then have fun trying

Still not as heavy as normal, but is a period of that I am sure.

Thank you for the good luck messages and for all those in a similar boat, I wish you all the best of luck.
