DS about to turn 4 yrs old, DD 10 weeks old.

I am beyond broody and have no idea why or how it has got this strong already?!

Have posted briefly about this a little while ago on MN and been told by a few people that it's normal and will probably pass. Seems to be getting stronger, though. I don't really want a tiny gap between DD and another child, do I? DH doesn't even know if he wants any more . Oh God. I am losing the plot!

iv wanted another baby since dd2 was bout 6 months old but dp dont want anymore dd2 is now nearly 2 and dp still dont want one and im getting worse and it seems that everyone around me is having a baby except me ..

sharkyandgeorge · 27/01/2009 21:33

Yes I feel the same, DD1 is 2.4 and DD2 is 10 months (so an 18 month gap) I would love another but don't want a 3rd with a small gap again so going to hold off til DD2 turns 2.

I feel permanently broody since having DD1 really hoping it stops at some point, can't go on having babies forever.

CHEQUERSmate · 27/01/2009 21:35

Oh I felt the same when DD was about that age but she's nearly 6 months now and I definitely don't want to do it again soon.

Was when a woman from my antenatal group announced she was pregnant. Can't think of anything worse for me!!!

this time will pass

honestly when the lo is a bit older you won't want another

you haven't got into the sibling rivalry yet!

congrats by the way

I have DS4, DS2 DD5 weeks ... went through a HELLISH pregnancy, was crying daily at the end wanting her to be born, had morning sickness the whole pregnancy, bit of a hard birth, terrifying second stage, lol...and sat here thanking the lord the 'older' 2 have gone to bed ...

but am thinking of doing it again.

I bloody wont!

but thinking wistfully, lol.

I have 4 dd's (7,3,16mo,13weeks)and we were actually having the discussion today of when we will start ttc. We have decided on december I cant actually imagine never having a new baby in the house!

CHEQUERSmate · 27/01/2009 21:40

4andnotout, are you hatrick? I was thinking I hadn't seen her around for ages and that she was due another one and it's dawned on me that you might actually be her.

mumof2rugrats · 27/01/2009 21:40

the only reason we aint had another one is we have no room and of course the dp not wanting one incase another girl lol

4andnotout · 27/01/2009 21:45

No im only 4andnotout, i havent seen hatrick in ages tho

CHEQUERSmate · 27/01/2009 21:46

Oh, ok, sorry.

usnkidz · 27/01/2009 21:47

NO your not losing the plot. im costantly broody I have dd6 dd3 but dh doesnt want anymore. I was broody the second i gave birth and wanted another!!!! I dont think I'll ever stop being broody but I am trying to accept that I wont be having any more. Its not easy but Im getting there. Must have strong maternal instincts!. If we didnt we wouldnt be having any babies at all.
