Hi, I've got a five year old son. And we would very much like to give him a brother or sister but have been trying for one and a half years, i am 23 my partner is 25. Any advise?

I don't know why but it often takes longer with the second. It's probably because we're too knackered to have enough sex. If you've been having plenty of sex and it's still not happening it might be worth seeing your GP to check your hormone levels.

I had this with my second.

First conceived within a couple of months - second took 20 months.

As you've been trying for over a year worth going to GP and getting them to run the blood tests that check you're ovulating.

What contraception were you using? I know people who've struggled to conceive after haviing the injections as takes a long time to get out of the system.
