thanks puzzle! but what if a child is conceived through this donation?? am i going to be able to NOT think about a baby out there somewhere who shares my DNA???

If your DNA is that important to you then don't do it.

If you are still keen, then you will have counselling with the clinic you use, who will talk you through various scenarios so that they are sure you know what you are doing.

If they think you have any doubts, then they wouldn't use you anyway.

i don't have doubts. just wanted to see if anyone else had done it & how they felt (if they were told a baby had been the result of their donation)
it's the whole when-they're-18-they-can-find-out-who-you-are stuff...is it not strange to think one day someone might turn up at your door & say "i came from you"

was just looking for success/doubtful stories TBH
