I have FVL and have to have fragmin when preg to thin blood. FVL means blood clots too easily. Read something the other day about woman who took fragmin when ttc as she had condition that meant blood clotted too easily. Wondered if FVL can impact ability to conceive? Anyone know?

Hi mummy, my sister has FVL and while ttc she had to take some pills (the same ones she took when she got pregant). I shall ask her more about it and write again.

Hello there. I have FVL. It was discovered after I had a few miscarriages. I had no probs ttc but lost the pregnancy at about 8 weeks probably due to it being unable to establish a blood supply. My consultant was very cseptical about the role of FVL in miscarriage but if you google it you can find lots of info out there. After my diagnosis and after taking baby asprin and heparin injections I had no more miscarriages and gave birth to 2 healthy babies. I found that there is a yahoo group called FVL-PG whihc brings together lots of women in the same boat which was very supportive. Hope that helps and good luck.

I conceived fine last time and thankfully no miscarriage-on fragmin from early on. Been 9mths ttc this time, which I suppose is no time at all really.
