negative pg tests - but not sure if worth going to GP to get blood test done?

I am not yet very late, but beyond my normal luteal phase length, so wondering if I should go to doctor for blood test or if it would be a waste of time.

Both my mum and my sister had negative tests while pregnant. They found out 3 and 4 months pregnant respectively via other means. But I don't think either of them had blood tests, only negative urine tests.

So if someone has negative urine tests. would they necessarily have negative blood tests? Not sure if anyone here will know the answer. But can't find any useful information via google!

hi rainbow.. if you are pregnant the hcg will show in your blood. it is worth going to the drs to get some answers even if its just for your own piece of mind

Rainbow...was just going to ask if you had been to the drs....I would go like Bubblebell1 says, if nothing else you would find out one way or another.

I just found this other thread, and it looks like if the hcg is not showing up in urine it might not be showing up in blood test either, so probrably just have to wait and see.

Do you know of anyone who has had negative urine test but positive blood test?
