Mine is a strange situation.

I have been on the depo and have decided to stop it.

I have had symptoms so decided to take a sainsburys own pack of two test.

The 1st 1 showed in both windows but the one tha counts was very faint.
so i did the other and only one window had a line in it.

help

any advice

Wait a day or two and try again if no AF. They say a positive is more reliable than a negative result so sounds promising!
I'd call in and pick up another pack then wait until the day after tomorrow. If you use the first wee of the day maybe the result will be stronger?

Good luck, hope it's the result you want

Sorry to jump in on your separate thread but I've just logged on, as am panicking. Having missed a period thought is either pre-menopause or...and there is a faint cross in that first box of the Boots test. I haven't planned it at all (coffee, wine etc) and assumed past it at 47 with two already 5 + 2. Help help what to do. Does it sound as if could be a positive to you?

I always understood it that if there is a line however faint you are pregnant. The line on my first ones was barely there but the advice line said that was still a positive. The received wisdom is that a negative can be a maybe but a positive is a positive is a positive.Congratulations!

Hi. They've always been on the dot except oddly last time but I suspect I wrote the start date down wrong as a week out... But otherwise on the dot of 28 days. There is so much media about how you have no chance once you are older I kind of figured it couldn't happen. Maybe it hasn't...but it is a faint cross. Was so careful about preparing for the other ones (being good months before conception etc) and barely on top of life as it is. Maybe panicking for no reason.

Thanks - a surge meaning it could look like pregnancy but isn't? or surge meaning it becomes more possible... sorry v. ignorant! Anyway will keep calm, not pour a glass just in case, and take another test tomorrow. Or is that too soon..

some of the more sensitive tests can pick up early menopause symptoms. Tis one of the very few ways you can see a false pos.

Hope you both get the results that you want.

headlesschicken · 18/01/2009 11:15

Hi. Well it was positive again (kind of - those cross ones are annoying as the vertical line is lighter than the width one). But, have had some spotting now and I think that's it to be honest. Perhaps I was and then I wasn't - or perhaps a false pos and a late period as Liahgen says. Kind of relieved, kind of sad too - odd feeling.
