Im 23 and ttc#2. I'm on cycle 10 and starting to go absolutely insane!! This is actually the first month I haven't really thought about it as ive had alot of other things going on, but just decided to have a peek on here to see if anyone else has had any luck???

Hi ladies-
I haven't tested- sorry to disappoint! But I'm surprised and more than a little nervous to report that I'm now on CD35(31 days is longest cycle to date). I keep expecting the "Wipe of Doom" but it hasn't happened...yet. Have been getting EWCM on and off. I just can't bear to test- my period isn't that late and there could be any number of reasons why it is other than pregnancy. I was just so sure we'd missed our dates this month...

I do have a funny taste in my mouth which I am definitely not imagining: the only way I can describe it is that it's similar to when I used to smoke and I'd get a physical urge to have a cigarette which I could almost taste along the sides of my tongue- sort of a raspy taste. I'm loathe to say metallic because then I'd be in the realms of symptom spotting. But it sort of IS metallic.

Other than that, no symptoms whatsoever which is what makes me at thought that I'm pg. Just praying and waiting. I want to wait until my period is at least a week late before I test. Will definitely keep you posted.

my af isnt due til 22nd but i have been feeling really tired the last few days+have a funny taste in my mouth too.

Im NOT going to test this early tho, i am sooo sick of wasting £ on -ve pg tests not to mention the disappointment so i willtry to take a leaf out of your book and be patient!!!!

I don't have the patience of a saint- just prefer to live in blissful ignorance for a bit longer. Also I have this weird thing of wanting to find the "perfect moment" to test- don't want to get a BFP just as housemate (family member) walks through door, or before work etc. And I'm just convinced that I'll get a BFN and can't bear to find out.

Hang on in there- even if you are pg you might not get a BFP yet. Maybe we should test on the same day (and you bubble) in a few days time. IF my period hasn't arrived that is... If it has I'll just be cheering you girls on and gearing up for the next round.

hehe i forget what blissful ignorance is since i started this ttc malarky I know what you mean about the perfect moment, i prefer to wait til im alone in the house too. Last time i was pg i couldnt wait and tested while i was on a training course with work and had to sit through the rest of the class when i got my BFP..was torture!

Let me know when you do decide to test and i think i mite just join you

Joy ive been waiting all weekend for your news im so pleased that AF hasnt shown up. im keeping everything crossed that you get a bfp i dont know how you can contain yourself.. id wanna know and then scream it from the roof tops... but then im slapped with the horrible realisation that it mite not stick and i will have to tell everyone again

ive had cramps this weekend and my boobs are agony. i think AF is going to make an appearance in the next few days for me. altho suzi did point out on the other thread that it could be implantation??? who knows.. i too am enjoying the ignorance.

Im going to test thursday morning.. (my sil is too)can you wait that long joy? seany is that still to early for you??

the only pregnancy symptoms i can remember are really bad mood swings and agression and then from about 8wks til i gave birth a heightened sense of smell. greasy food made me sick and i was reall horny the whole pregnancy.

Gah, bubble, sorry it's not your month this month. You are right, I think the main reason I don't want to test is because if there is something in there, I want to give it a chance to stick before I get all excited. Getting a BFP at this early stage doesn't necessarily mean that would still be the case in a couple of weeks time- for example I could have a chemical pregnancy.I'm a very cautious person, even more so since my mc last year.

So I am definitely going to continue waiting, possibly until Saturday morning (CD41). I know, I know... it's AGES! And the HPTs are calling to me from the drawer. But if I am pregnant I want time alone with my partner to really relish the result, rather than dashing off to work.

So Seany, you'll be testing before me.... unless you can wait until Saturday!

In the mean time, I'm still not having any unusual symptoms other than the funny taste. Then again, when I was pg last year before my mc, I didn't have any either.

Oh the tension!

Forgot to mention three extra points in this detective tale:

• I'm still getting small amounts of EWCM-like stuff. Did anyone get this during early pregnancy?
• I'm getting odd twinges down below which could be my period on its way. Or am I imagining it?
• I was on antibiotics for a bad UTI earlier this month- could this have delayed ov and therefore my period?

i dont really mind that af has shown up. just worried coz cycle was so short. that really unusual for me. before dc i was always a 30 day girl. has anyone has a short cycle after a mc??

bubble- yes. After my miscarriage, my cycles started at 24 days then got longer progressively as the months went on (that's one of the reasons I'm not convinced by my period's no-show this month- it could just be this trend continuing). Hope that helps.

seany- I'm throwing down the gauntlet- can you last until Saturday?

Turns out I couldnt wait after all. I tested a wee while ago even though i KNOW it is prob still too early, i couldnt help it, its like some sad form of OCD

Anyway youve prob guessed by now it was -ve, and i have started getting more crampy pains so maybe af is going to show early grrrrrr

Well 6 more days to go til the scheduled arrival so i will just have to wait hehe easy for me to say, but not so easy to achieve.

Oh seany, you caved! But don't be too disheartened, 6 days is really early so even you are preggers it might not show up yet.

suzibhoy im not too sure about the ewcm after conceiving, i cant remember what symptoms i had with ds.

seany I'm not that patient! Am on CD36 today. CD41 is Saturday when I'm planning to test. As the hours tick by though and my period still hasn't arrived, I am going slightly mad, and may cave before then.

Suzi when is af due for you? I'm not sure about ewcm after conceiving- I know I've had random shows of it on CD22 and CD33 (ie after period due) this month- so hopefully it's a sign that we're knocked up!
