Hello!

I've been an on and off mumsnetter since ttc 2 years ago.

Last Thursday, on my 2nd round of clomid (which made me quite ill) i tested when i was 4 days late.

I got a BFP!

i wanted to put some hope out there for those in the TTC club, I know how hard it is as I watched 18 of my friends get preg easily and have their babies all last year. I convinced myself this was my yer, i thought positive thoughts, and carried on with my horrid clomid.

so, although its very early days for me, i just wanted to say, hang on in there girls. It happens in the worst of cases, like mine. I was resigning myself to the fact it would never happen for us. But it did.

Good luck to you all xxx

LLL xx

Huge congrats. Hope everything goes well for you. My good friend got pregnant with clomid first time and has a beautiful little girl. She is now on it again trying for her second, which is taking longer but she is still hopeful.

Congrats Lollipop that's fantastic news . We were all so worried for you when you got so ill with the Clomid last cycle, I'm so pleased it worked for you.

thanks ladies! Im feeling fine, and had my docs apt thid morning. She was lovely and said enjoy it and dont worry. It will happen girls. Hangi in there. My friend was on clomid for 3 cycles and at her 3 month review the consultant told her she was pregnant!

Clomid in my opinion is worth all the heartache, pain and awful symtoms.

Congrats Lollipop

I was on clomid from June - Nov 08 with no joy im now going through tests ( which I know is the wrong way round but blame my GP )
How many months/years do you have to have a break for before the next round??

I was pretty fine on clomid but was only 50mg

I really believed in it and still do but I was just unlucky i spose

thanks for this story, Dh and I have been trying to get pregnant for 2 and a half years and have had the 21 day test which came back negative for ovulation. I then went for ultrasound and was told i had small cysts but nothing to worry about and have been offered clomid but im scared to take it! Stories like yours make me realise it is probably the best thing for me and DH!
