how long after coming off the pill did it take you to conceive?

I heard a stat that 80% of women coming of the pill conceive within 12 months.

Does anyone if being on the pill stops you ovulating?

Weeeell, I came off the pill on 20th (ish) October, and am now 5/6 weeks, so not long!

11 months and miscarried then again at 14 months and had dd.

have had friends get pregant a few weeks after stopping pill,others take over a year

I stopped mid september and got a bfp yesterday, but I know a couple of people who got pregnant immediately.

As for the ovulation thing I think it depends what kind of pill it is - some do and some don't.

I came off the pill for six months as of april 07 and didnt catch, probably due to the fact that i was planning my wedding so pretty stressed. Then came off the pill april 08 and by june seemed to be having normal 28 day cylces, then had 2 periods in july so cycle was completely thrown out, caught pregnant middle of august, didnt really have a clue when i was ovulating!!!
