depo never again

i started depo in june 07 i had 3 jabs i was meant 2 be getting 1 in march 08 but i wanted 2 try for another baby but it is know jan 09 and i haven't had a period not even spotting iam really worried cause it took me 4years and 4 miscariges 2 have my son. i never got the depo exsplaned 2 me i was on the pill but i forgot 2 talk them thats why i went 2 the doctor and she said 2 take the depo i was stuiped i should have looked into it before i took my first jab.i just hope my periods come back soon thats over a year since my last jab

the depo is a horrible form of contraceptive. there is another depo thread i will bump it for you so you can see other ppls responses.

the 1st time i was on depo it took 9 months to concieve. this time i finished the depo injection in oct07 and started the pill. i finished the pill in oct and only just got my first AF so around 15 months after last depo injection.

you can get pregnant before your next period so keep trying and i hope you get lucky soon

Depo made me put on so much weight and go spotty i think it turned me into somebody no one would want shag and that's how it works ;-)

I had my last Depo injection in June 06 - decided to stop because I was struggling to lose weight and wanted to see if this would help. The 3 month dose obviously ran out in Sept - went to the GP in May 07 to ask where my AF was (wasn't TTC at the time, just curious) - had blood tests done - no info.

I'd been on Weightwatchers for a few months - got fed up with no weight loss and switched to Atkins - hey presto, 4 weeks later, AF appeared ! It was pretty much a year since the last injection.

Hi I had my last injection November 2004 to ttc, finally went on the pill June 2005 until January 2006 to regulate periods - which worked. Once stopped pill - periods v heavy and longer - saw consultants had tests - nothing wrong....started accupuncture March 2008 - fell pg in June 2008 am now expecting my little baba in 7 weeks - depo is awful for ttc and no advice is given to you fully about the consequences on fertility!!
It has taken a long time so don't give up hope - some women fall fairly easily after depo but some like myself have struggled!!
