Thanks Lottie and I'm keeping mine crossed for you too. Yes, I will feel much happier if still testing positive next weekend. I got 4 FRs and 2 CB digitals. Trying to avoid buying CB as I found out recently they're made in conjunction with a company I boycott (can't remember if it was Proctor and Gamble or Boots though), but I wanted to use one on OTD as that will be 18dpo so hopefully get a 2-3. And holding out til Wednesday is just cowardice - want to get through the dinner at my boss's house on Monday evening (really nervous about that - the office bitch tells me she doesn't wash her hands when she goes to the toilet and she's preparing my food!) and the leaving on maternity presentation on Wednesday still thinking I'm pg and don't want to risk a BFN between now and then.

duplomania · 09/05/2009 15:03

Congratulations issy, that's fantastic! I'm so pleased for you! I'm sure the hcg from the trigger shot will have gone, mine was always gone at 10dpo with my iuis too. All the best for the next week!

I kind of got AF today, I say kind of because it's very weak, don't know if it's gonna get stronger or that is really it. Did you get normal AF after downregging? My clinic only let you go on stimms after a scan on day 1-3, and they don't scan weekends, that's why I have to wait til monday. unfortunately dp will be travelling for business next week so I will have to do the first shot on my own. really wanted him to be there for moral support. oh well, I will manage somehow.

Issy42 · 09/05/2009 15:08

Thanks duplo. I had a light, short period too and was worried hadn't properly downregged but it was fine. You'll be fine doing the injections, the stim ones are really easy - is it Gonal-F you're on?

NotPrincessAnne · 09/05/2009 15:57

Oh, Congratulations Issy!! My clinic told me the trigger shot wouldn't affect a pg test result after about 10 days so sounds like you should be believing it! But best wishes for this week and the new tests too!

Lottie - step away from all the sticks! You'll have plenty of other things to spend that money on!

I was having a chat to my boss yesterday - a woman I manage is going though a horrible breakup and my boss is entirely supportive of her taking some time off, and letting her know that she mustn't worry about her work commitments. It made me think that I'll tell her about the next round of IVF as I'm sure she'd be supportive and it would make life much easier.

LL I had pink spotting and then bright red bleeding with this pregnancy (sometimes heavy). It lasted from 7-14 weeks. Nerve wracking but all ok now. I also had pink spotting with ds which started at 5 weeks and stopped at 11. He is running around in the garden

ladylush · 09/05/2009 19:29

The way I coped with this pg was by viewing each week as a milestone. I had a series of early scans for reassurance esp. re the bleeding. St. Georges EPU were great.

NappyValley · 09/05/2009 22:08

issy what wonderful news. I know you are being cautious but celebrate the fact that your body is working with you - it wants a baby as much as you do. Everything crossed for you.

Hi londonlottie,
thanks for the link,,,,,you ladies seems so close thats really nice....itz good to know theres a place like this to come and express yourself to people who no exactly what we're all going through

EMZIB · 10/05/2009 10:20

Hi all. Well I'm now 6 days post transfer and I am sleeping lots and have incredibly sore boobs. Hoping this is a good sign, but thinking it might be related to the pesky cyclogest porgesterone pessaries?

ladylush · 10/05/2009 11:38

LL (both LL )not liking the taste of alcohol is a very good sign. It wears off in the 2nd trimester - at least it has done for me. So I have to ration myself to a carefully measured 125ml glass of wine once a week. But boy does it taste good

LL to be honest when I had ds I used to stick to the 1-2 units once or twice a week and I think that is probably still safe - esp. if you are eating as well and spacing out the drinks. This time I'm a bit more cautious because of the m/cs.

ladylush · 10/05/2009 11:58

I'd always avoid it in the first trimester though. Follow what your body tells you.

Issy42 · 10/05/2009 15:04

Thanks NPA. Great that you have a supportive boss. I'm really wishing that I hadn't told mine because she really stressed me out sending me a text on Sat before EC asking if I was taking annual leave or sick leave, which wouldn't have happened if I'd just left it as gynae op - and I already knew IVF was covered under our sick leave.
Lottie - completely understand your rollercoaster, it's really horrible isn't it. Just wanting to get to that 7-week scan and know everything's OK. Nausea and being off alcohol are really good signs though.
Ladylush - I don't know how you coped with all that bleeding, it must have been awful for you.
NV - Thank you. My body is trying very hard and at least I know it's got this far. If the worst happens then this will be the third time I've tested positive and lost within a week so maybe that's enough for some investigations, particularly with my womb lining still so thin.
Welcome Kacey.
EMZIB - You're only a few days behind me. Fingers crossed for you.

My temp was down this morning so going out of my mind. Did another test and still BFP. Totally confused. Feeling very deja-vu as I had pretty much the same temperature last time I tested positive but then got AF next day. It's about half way between yesterday's temp and my coverline and it is my usual sign that I'll have an even lower temp and AF next day. Just really, really hoping it isn't this time.

ladylush · 10/05/2009 15:24

Fingers crossed Issy - I have heard of women who temp having a dip but all still being ok. Hang in there

ladylush · 10/05/2009 15:24

Obv I mean pg women who temp

Issy42 · 10/05/2009 15:46

Thanks Ladylush - that's reassuring to know.
