Quick Clomid Question.

I am on my first cycle of Clomid (100 mg taken days 2-6) and am now on cd19. I don't know whether i've ovulated this month, i haven't been using opks but did have some stabbing pains in my right side on tuesday - only a couple tho and that could be anything. I am wondering when i should expect af, normally i'm very irregular - does Clomid give you a standard cycle lenght, ie, will everyone taking 100mg have 28 day cycles or does it not affect cycle lenght. Thank you.

before clomid my cycles were quite long 45+ days, it took a couple of clomid cycles for them to settle (getting shorter each cycle), now settled at 30days. the pains were probably ovulation. hope this helps

Who prescribed clomid?.

Do not use OPK's anyway - they are not helpful in these particular circumstances.

Clomid is often prescribed to women with ovulation problems. Do you have an actual diagnosis - PCOS for instance?.

Clomid's main job is to make the ovaries work harder - the pains may be due to that. You should be monitored whilst on clomid with blood tests and or internal ultrasounds, you have no way of knowing whether its working or not otherwise.

I was referred to a fertility specialist by my gp. I went to my appointment last month and was told that due to my irregular periods i probably wasn't ovulating and probably had pcos. He gave me the Clomid and i have to go back next month (cycle 2) on day 3 for a blood test, then a test when they use dye and then another blood test on day 21 to see how things are going.
