I was due for my last injection in january but have decided to try for #3 No sign of periods yet - although did have a small show a month ago - not sure what that means - does it mean I may start to get periods now??? Have also put on about 10 pound in last year and struggling to lose it no matter what I do - although that could be down to too much wine?!

Meant to also say, was on depo for about 18 months....last injection was November 2004.

I'm new to this site & looking for advice...
I was on depo for 7 yrs and now ttc after coming off it 3 months ago. I know it's early days but I've heard it could be helpful to take the following:- folic acid, baby aspirin, vit B6, evening primrose and agnus castus??? Seems like a lot to me - could anyone plse help before I overdose on vitamins??

Hi, thought I would share my experience with depo...I used it for just over a year (had 5 jabs) the last one was Feb 04. It took until Sept 04 for my periods to come back, and it felt like I had really bad PMT for most of that time, my hormones must have been all over the place. I started charting in Nov which showed I was OVing and in January I got a BFP but unfortunately had an early m/c the next week. I'm now waiting for a fertility appointment at the end of next month.

So all in all, I wouldn't recommend depo at all unless you're 100% certain you don't want any more kids. I had no problem conceiving my first two, but then again that was 13 and 11 years ago....I'm now 37 so whether or not it's still the depo causing problems, or my age, or a combination of the 2 I'll probably never know.

Good luck everyone

just come back from doctors after getting my results from range of blood tests... all come back normal ( testerone, thyroid, prolactin, hormones, and a couple of others) excuse spellings.

Still no periods yet, been without depo for 10 months now, only had 2 injections.... before that had a whole year without depo or protection, still no periods ( didn't worry then), before that was on the depo for three years.

Doctor has referred me to specialist now, waiting for appointment.

Any one else add/help/comment ?

Had my consultation with hospital now, (still no periods) . All they did was confirm my name , dob, and want my history AGAIN !! The only thing i have come away with is that my S.H.I.D ( i think it was those initials) blood test was low. Now i have to wait another 3 months for my next appointment. Can anyone help with the meaning of those letters please ?
