I should know all about it, but am totally clutching at straws.

If you had sex, Thurs, and twice, (sorry tmi) on the saturday, then ov on the following monday, what are my chances?

answers on a postcard please. x

well, sperm can live up to 7 days, so there is always a chance, but who can say? you have a 1 in 4 chance each month IIRC of conceiving, so i guess you have as much chance as anyone?

You'd probably get a 'GOOD' rather than a 'VERY GOOD'. Better than a 'SATISFACTORY'!

liahgen · 06/01/2009 16:14

7 days lulu?

good is as good as i'm gonna get so will cling to that i guess.

thanks

up to 7 days , that is not a definite

AttilaTheMeerkat · 06/01/2009 17:53

Do not assume that you ovulated on a particular day; it is ALL too easy to get this wrong even if your menstrual cycle is regular.

Sperms can live within the body for up to 5 days.

I always know exactly when i ovulate as it's very obvious. i had fertility problems for years so am hyper aware. Twas definately Monday.

I used to think sperm lived in body for 2-5 days but I definitely read somewhere that it can be up to 7. Can't remember where but I do remember it was a fairly reliable source and not just a random google search. Good luck liahgen .
