HELP!
I have had the mirena coil in 4 mnths now after having my 5th child as i was told it was safer than getting sterilised....
since havin it in im having alot of problems im always moody, hungry, very tearful, depressed, suffer servere abdominal pains and havent stopped bleeding since in i got it in... when i ask any doctors boet this they just tell me that it not the coil and refuse to remove it....
can any 1 give me advice please

If you search old messages there are quite a few people who have had problems with the mirena. (I will go find some in a sec).

I didn't have many symptoms, just put on weight (oh, and then got pregnant )

i had the mirena twice. both times caused infection and had to be removed. my sister had it and that also caused infection dr refused to remove hers and in the end it had to be taken out at the hosp. i think they are evil. but a friend of mine swears by it.

i think that if you dont want it you should insist on having it removed its your body!!
