could i be pregnant?

Am on day 22 of my cycle (usually 22-24 days)

Had period like cramp for a short time yesterday. I don't usually have any pains.

Have gone off alcohol !!! Tried to have a drink for last 3 days but it tastes odd - a metallic taste.

Am i getting my hopes up?

Metalic taste is a good sign. I had that with all my pregnancies quite early on. I went off chocolate big time because of the taste in my mouth - go have a chocolate and see what you think

Well I tested on Mon with my fancy Clear Blue conception indicator test and it said 'not pregnant'.

Still no AF and my boobs felt heavy so popped out for a cheap Tesco's test on Friday.

Tested and had a very feint line so tested this morning and it's a BFP

im hoping someone can help me,my last period was a few days before christmas and im due again 2nd week of january,for the last week ive cried at the drop of a hat and im feeling bloated and waking up at night with leg cramps and now im wondering if i could be pregnant.I took a test but that showed a neg result is it too early for a result to show or am i just being paranoid.i have a 4mth old baby boy so if im pregnant its reall y bad timing.plz help me.

debs, maybe your cycles just haven't returned to normal since your little boy was born? the only way you'll know is to test i'm afraid.

yeah already done that once and it came up neg so am i testing too early..

Debs - There is no way of knowing if you are testing too early from the information in your post. It is only possible to know for sure if someone is testing too early if you know when they ovulated, in which case testing 12-14 days after that will, in most cases, give an accurate result. Alternatively, you could wait until a couple of days before your period is due and that might give you an accurate result, assuming that you did not ovulate later in your cycle.

The only thing you can really do if you're not sure is to wait until after your period is due and test again if your period has not arrived.

i have been keeping a close eye on my cycle and i ovulated right at a fertile time and had un protected sex.My partner knows i want more children but not this close together,my next period is due in 7 days round about and im thinking of buying another test,and if i havent started my period by the end of january well... i will know why.

debs, if af isn't due for another week then you are testing too early.

also i assume since you have a ds you know how babies are made and avoided. it was irresponsible of you to have unprotected sex not wanting a baby now.

i don't normally get annoyed but having been trying for a baby for sooooo long hearing what your saying is pissing me off.

you already have a child and know the ins and outs of pregnancy so should know a test wouldn't work yet!!!

blondie - sorry to hear you're having trouble ttc but don't think its fair to get so cross at debs.

debs - 7 days before your period is due is way too early to test - leave it till your due date and then test with a cheapy or you're just wasting money.

i hope you both get the results you want soon.

Congrats devons mummy! Fairy dust to anyone that wants it! What symptoms do you have now? Theres a small chance I could be preg frm new years eve, (not planned but wuld be a lvly suprise) still breastfeeding 7m old so periods not returned yet but had ewcm new years day! That made me paranoid. Since then Ive had period type cramps, shooting pains in boobs, drugged tired feeling, times when Im sure I m then not so sure! Have had a feeling of pressure on my bladder last day or two also which I only get when preg. Clear blue digital was neg but awaiting ebay tests. Your experience shows clearblue can be wrong! Hp it all goes well4u Xx

Hi, Im having a simlar experience i've been so thirsty then going to the loo lots. have done a test sainsburys own pack of two and was both windows have a definate line although the one that counts is quite faint.

any one had any experience with the sainsbury brand

what do you think?

If there is even a hint of a 2nd line you must be pregnant! Congts! Do another test in 2 days and the hcg will have doubled so the line should be clearer xx

Can someone help me.

I last had a period 19th december - i am normally regular 29 days. My Last period ended 26th december. I have a doctors app today as I did a urine test on friday so going for the results. My partner and I rely on the withdrawl method for contraception and for the last 4 years has been fine - we have a dd who is 4. I had a 2 day bleed in jan - not much blood and mostly like a show. I have no pregnancy syptoms other than a bit tired and 4 hpts have all been negative. So i assume the doctors will show neg too as last hpt was saturday morning clearblue.

How long could it take for me to show preganant on a test as if I am im calcultaing that i would be 5-6 weeks.

Any help appreciated, i just cant remember a thing about my last pregnancy.

Doctor is referring me for blood tests tomorrow - now going on about polycycstic ovaries. Anyone have any advice please???

hello everyone,i was late for my period in mid january and didnt think anything of it as ive got a 5mth old and just thought it was hormones going back into order, so i did a home test yesterday anyway and it came up positive,im shocked and very excited at the same time as protection was used but we all know thats not 100%,so next thing to go do is see my gp , from what ive worked out im about 5-6 weeks but time will tell..

i am worried i might be pregnant! i last had sex just before christmas, had a period just after christmas lasting about 10 days. i havnt had one since. i have the implanon implant as i dont really want more children- i have 4. last couple of days i have been really tired, cried last night watchin sex and the city when miranda's mum died- i dont normally get upset at tv programmes, and my nipples are really really sore. i dont want to be pregnant but have the strangest feeling that i am, and with twins. i am worried about testing because i dont want anymore, and i split up with partner 4 weeks ago after he cheated on me.
