TTC - when do I go to the GP?

How long should you TTC before going to see the GP?
I already have one child who was a happy accident, and have been trying for my 2nd for 5 months so far.
I've read that you should wait a year, but if you have any known problems you should go sooner. I only have one ovary - would this be a reason to go sooner?

Hi there. The guidelines are a year for under 35, or six months for 35 and over I believe. But if you only have one ovary, I think it is reasonable to see your gp after 6 months even if you are under 35. Good luck.

Guideline in my area is over 35 a year and under 35 2 yrs. I would class only having one ovary as something of note so would go sooner regardless of age.
