I am beside myself with worry. AF due wednesday.

I have been having these pains all day, really low down on the left where Fallopian tube would be but I an EP a few years ago and left tube was removed.

No advice but thought I would bump for you.
Hope you are ok.

beanieb · 13/12/2008 21:51

Oh poor you. if you are in real pain please go to A&E. I can't imagine how worried you must be.

is the pain similar to or worse than period pains you normally get?

All I can suggest is that you call NHS direct and explain what you are feeling, or go to A&E.

I hope you are ok.

its not like period pain at all, its like the pain i felt a few weeks before my ectopic rupture but i have no tube there so it can't be that, but i still have my ovary there so wondered if it could be that.

I would say to be on the safe side assume that it cd be and get some advice from NHS direct. They are really good and will talk you through the symptoms. With your previous history it's best to be sure.

flixx · 14/12/2008 13:38

Its eased a lot today. I haven't had any shoulder tip pain, I got this my my first EP after it had ruptured. Thanks for all the advice xx

Flixx,

I am sorry to hear this, I have had 2 ectopics in the past and know how you feel.

I am not a medic but have experience of ectopic pregnancy because of all I have been through. From my knowledge I think it is unlikely the tube would rupture at this stage...I think your BHCG levels need to be much higher than you would expect for a few days pre testing. Having said that you should go to hospital if you have a positive test.

I have had pain with all three of my pregnacies, the two ectopics and the third (a pregnancy following IVF). On my third pregnancy I was admitted with severe pains and my DD is now 6 1/2 months!

Good luck.

Flixx,
Any more news? I'm anxious for you because of your history.

I, too, had an EP last year. Am fortunate to be pg again now but have suffered much sharp stabbing pains through this pregnancy. Once, the reason was a urinary infection. Sometimes it's just scar tissue being stretched. With your history, take no chances and get yourelf checked out as soon as you have any sharp pains.

Hope all is well for you this week? Please keep us updated!

Just seen this and hope you are ok? I remember reading somewhere that ectopic pain is often on the opposite side to where the ectopic site is.
