Welcome Suigeneris and welcome back Wanabe

Well, 4 weeks and 2 days post MC, I've had ov pains this morning and again this evening, lashings and lashings of EWCM, we BD'ed last night and I'm jumping him again tonight

If this really is OV, then my 2WW will be up on Christmas Eve - eeeeeekkkkk

Ilovebeingamummy · 11/12/2008 21:09

HI yellowflowers - my ds is 22 months now - I stopped bfeeding the day of the 2nd mc. He doesn't need it anymore and if it is one thing I can try at least to retain some sense of control

I have struggled with the idea of giving ttc a break for a few cycles but can;t bring myself to do it even if it means another mc to go through...

so please add me to the list - af due 9/1/09 - if i have normal cycle this month.

x

thinking of you i love being a mummy!! im so so so sorry - hope you ok considering and im sending you huge hugs!!! xxx

BeckyMcG · 12/12/2008 10:33

How long is traditional to breast feed then?? I thought it was 5 or 6 months so clearly I am not up to speed? This - and about a million other worries will be fighting for attention if I do manage to keep this pregnancy! Anyone got a manual entitled "how to look after a baby"? I have had to do hours of training to manage programs as part of my job so I can't see how a couple of antenatal classes are going to cut the entire topic of bringing up my baby!!!!

tinselandglittercoveredwincies · 12/12/2008 11:54

In my neck of the woods it's not traditional to breastfeed at all Becky! How long you end up doing it for is entirely up to you and your child.

I managed 9 weeks , other close friends fed for 2 days, 6 months, 12 months and 2 years. Whatever works for the individual family. You get pressure and comments either way from all sides.

Lol at the manual, ahh if only! In the end, the only advice I stick by is 'babies are more robust than they look', 'little boys are washable' and 'mummy's decision is final' .

Go for it Jools - are you up for joining in a Christmas Eve test?

yellowflowers · 12/12/2008 12:08

My period due christmas day or shortly after but maybe I will join in mass christmas eve test anyhow. temp dip today which I think predeeds ovulation in my case and we're staying in tonight so I know what we'll be up to...

WanabeMum · 12/12/2008 12:09

Hey funtime thanks for the welcome back! had a fabulous time, sunshine, warm, and not a drop of rain, what more could i ask for? Oh and a fair bit of BD-ing too!
Had very sore boobs yesterday, noticable even walking upstairs and brushing my arm past them, very odd but has now subsided.

Hey Jools nice to see you back in full swing and hopefully it will be successful this time with a very, very sticky bean! Fingers crossed for you.

Wow we are going to be very excited on Christmas Eve on this thread huh? With the odds we should really have at least one BFP right?

I'm all of a doo-dah about my dates as i have no idea when i ovulated so not really sure my AF date is accurate. Oh well only time will tell. I have some Christmas shopping to do and the odd pre-Christmas bash to attend to keep my brain occupied for a week or so
Time will tell.

JingleJools · 12/12/2008 12:34

aaaah - I can see a Christmas Eve PARTY in the Grapefruit Massive Champagne and Appletise on ice and I hope we have to move on to the soft stuff !!

I'm still not convinced I've ovulated - no sore boobs or bloating and the ov pains were quite short. Who knows I will say though, that (TMI alert ) I have never ever ever seen so much EWCM !! I think it must be because I had a taste for GFJ when PG and have just kept going for weeks and weeks

DP stayed up late to watch a film last night and I couldn't keep awake and didn't want to tell him we HAD to BD, so no action last night but I am hopeful for tonight

So, yes, unless I suddenly find out I ov properly later on, I'll be attending the mass BFP online party in here on Christmas Eve

wasabipeanut · 12/12/2008 13:16

I'm next up on the testing list!

Feeling the pressure now. Nearly caved and bought a test yesterday but told myself not to be so silly - would be far too early.

I'm not hopeful for this month due to cold related lack of sex but hope never quite goes.

VillageMum · 12/12/2008 13:24

Good luck wasabi!! How many days post ov are you now?

wasabipeanut · 12/12/2008 13:27

9

Last time I started getting symptoms at 10-12 days but of course I didn't really suss at the time that's what they were.

wasabipeanut · 12/12/2008 13:28

At least I think I am 9 - I picked up a surge on OPK on day 15 but it was gone by that evening.

Now on day 24......

VillageMum · 12/12/2008 13:49

wasabi, yes, I guess even the 'early' hpts aren't reliable until 12 DPO (or so I read somewhere) so hang in there; everything crossed for you!

wasabipeanut · 12/12/2008 13:57

Thanks Villagemum

Just been to loo and had some pinky tinted CM. My optimistic side says maybe implantation. The cynic in me says its early AF spotting.

There is absolutely nothing I can do find out which for a few days.

Bugger.

pinkie08 · 12/12/2008 14:13

HI iggypiggy

i will def. join you if had no AF signs. I would know by nye as always get a pain in my leg and by the 31st would probably had a splattering of pink if the witch is coming.

If it isnt i am in for the party {fgrin] wouldnt it be a lovely way to start the new year

VillageMum · 12/12/2008 14:32

wasabi, at 9 DPO it's implantation bleeding, I'd say!!

wasabipeanut · 12/12/2008 16:26

Oh Villagemum I fervently hope you are right!

Right, I am going to stop obsessing and get on with the washing up! Will prob log on again later is Dh is off at his work Xmas party and after I have got ds bathed and put to bed I nay treat myself to a little mumsnetting.

See you all later x

Pezzina · 12/12/2008 17:28

Oooh - I hope to be in on the Christmas Eve testing party

I'm due to OV tomorrow so will be going home and grabbing DH before he heads out for drinks. Also plan to jump on him tomorrow morning (I just hope he doesn't come back too full of drink tonight)

See you all later xxx

tinselandglittercoveredwincies · 12/12/2008 19:42

Yay, it's been AGES since we had a mass test (September?)

I'm a woman on a mission now, no messing about. I WILL have another baby by next Christmas (stamps foot in a Violet-Elizabeth petulant strop ).

Oohh, Wasabi, keeping everything crossed for you!

yellowflowers · 12/12/2008 20:30

wasabi - I am sure it's your month. Everything crossed. xxxx

mummy2olivia · 12/12/2008 20:47

OOOOH Wasabi that does sound promising!! may be worth a first response at 10DPO? thats what I would do.

I'm up for a Christmas eve testing party!! Jools- your EWCM sounds like a sure sign, looks like you have had some well timed hokey-pokey!!

My ovulation mystery is continuing....

blood stained EWCM all day today, achey sides and generally tender tummy, sore boobs and feeling hot and bothered which is usual 'O' signs for me AND.............still NO smile on my OPK Was really shocked actually when I saw the blank circle!!! Have been OPK testing for 5 days now as well so cant have missed the surge Am still shagging just in case but am just keeping fingers crossed that my egg is on its way. HURRY UP EGG!!!! Can everyone egg on my egg please????!!!!
