Hi everyone I have started a new thread... hope you like the new home, this is where it will all happen. (Cindy opens a bottle of champagne) Here's a drink to all and to our month ofthe BFP... .... baby dust all around ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

yellow - has the bleeding stopped? what dpo are you? is your bleeding earlier than expected AF date? the am i / aren't i is so maddening isn't it.

I've got such bad AF style cramps but hoping there's something more exciting going on down there. feel slightly nauseus too (because hungry?) - if anythng was implanting would it be too soon for any potential symptoms?

C1NDY · 29/01/2009 08:46

Queenie your bd this month was absolutely amazing, goush i never packed in so many.... your symptons seem very postive. I had AF very mild cramps so fingers and toes crossed for you.

C1NDY · 29/01/2009 08:53

Wasabi I think that when you stop... you should count 5 days and then bd on and off as soon as you know you are ov do three days in a row. Just in case you ovulate early and not sure if your temping will work - may be one of the others ladies will know this, as I haven't used temping. Buy some preceed (Cindy is raving about the product again) it will make the sperm live longer (that's my belief as it creates a better CM environment). Good luck and big hugs to you in this difficult time. When I MC I wanted to do the same thing but waited until the next cycle as I thought that we would be making shots in the dark (if you get my drift). You go girl!!

Queenie last bit of post was meant for Yellow I feeling quite dizzy today, so forgive me!!

Yellow your signs sound v promising. First Response should be used in the morning with EMU... but I still used it during the day. It may be too early for you to use one as they recommend 6 days before AF is due. The internet one's are not that sensitive ... I found the OPK sticks better in detecting a pg than an actual strip pg test!! How many days do you have left till AF shows up?

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 29/01/2009 09:04

I've had so many BFN's with First Response, I just consider them unlucky for me and avoid them !! I am converted to Digital - HATE the ambiguity of is it / isn't it a line.

Wasabi - definitely get TTC if you feel ready for it - I'm told you should wait 10 - 14 days for the cervix to close up again, otherwise there is a risk of infection. I really hope you are one of these people that catches again without seeing another AF I think age and the later MC was against me - I didn't ovulate for 2 months

Couldn't get DP to co-operate last night - need to work on my seductive skills tonight as the next 3 days are crucial I think

yellowflowers · 29/01/2009 09:09

Hiya cindy and queenie

Well temp back down a bit today though still above cover line but proper bleeding still not materialised. Have acupuncture this pm though with fertility specialist again so will talk to them too.

FF says today is 11dpo and I think it's 13 dpo (because temp rose for two days then had one day of dipping then rose again so FF took the second rise but I think it's the first rise as that correlated with ewcm).

Actually not feeling too sad today whereas usually when spotting starts I am devastated- but I have a hugely busy day today.

Cindy - everything sounds so good for you?

iggy - how you doing?

We're getting so many BFPs on this thread we'll need a recruitment drive for new members soon.
xxx

wasabipeanut · 29/01/2009 09:17

Ok, so are we allowed to get excited about C1ndy's BFP now?

Joolsiam · 29/01/2009 09:31

Tearful rant coming up:

I've just had a massive kick in the teeth

I help administer a chat board to do with my main hobby and love - told very few close friends on there when I was PG and, after I miscarried, decided to tell everyone - I got good support from some who had been through it and others just didn't know what to say, or couldn't comprehend what it meant to me.

One person has just announced today to the whole community that she is a few weeks PG - says she knows it could all go wrong but she wants to tell everyone. This girl is a serial attention seeker - never responds to anyone elses messages but just wants people to respond to her and make her feel the centre of things. She has mental health issues that are now under control and I am really trying to be happy for her but just can't bring myself to post on her thread and I know if I don't, she will either privately ask me why, or put up some public message about how she hopes I can be happy for her etc etc. It is difficult to explain, but I feel that the way she has presented her news and worded her post is belittling what I have gone through and I just want to pick up the silly cow and give her a good shake. I don't think she has any concept of the enormity of what she is doing and what could go wrong

Sorry not explaining myself very well, but if she does direct any messages to me, I've got a feeling my response might get me banned from the site

kittycatcat · 29/01/2009 09:41

hi Joolsiam,[BIG HUGS]. i can see how that must have made you feel. Very insensitive of her, and it's not right that she has made you feel like that. x

wasabipeanut · 29/01/2009 09:45

Oh jools darling I can totally see why you are upset. I don't know what to say really it's a difficult one. You say that this girl has experienced mental health issues. Is it possible that she just doesn't understand the implications of how she posted - both for her and for you?

Joolsiam · 29/01/2009 09:52

Thanks for the support - tis good to feel my reaction is not completely unreasonable.

Wasabi - I think you she either doesn't know or doesn't care about how her actions affect others, as long as she gets attention, praise, congratulations etc. I can see that she is permanently logged on, just looking at the thread she has started and waiting for responses. She has now said she thinks she is 5 or 6 weeks, is seeing a GP today etc - but surely if you are on a cocktail of meds, you speak to your GP and have a plan to come off them as soon as you get a BFP, not after the drugs could have done some harm

This may be a good thing for my employer - think I'll take a break from that site for the day and get on with some work for a change !!

wasabipeanut · 29/01/2009 09:52

Yellow I'm so sorry I didn't respond to your post. Sorry to hear that you got the BFN. I guess if nothing happens then perhaps try one of t he internet tests in a couple of days - not much else you could do at this point! It's so bloody frustrating isn't it? It's good that you have a busy day lined up.

It will happen for you soon I am convinced xx

iggypiggy · 29/01/2009 10:33

jools - don't think you reaction is unreasonable... ttc is so hard on us emotionally everything seems magnified (I find) - so I think it is insenstive - I just hope it's through ignorance rather than deliberate

yellow - am ok - thanks for asking... AF is due on Monday. I've had a few twinges today - which could be AF on the way - I like to hope that it isn't - but I totally have no symptoms . Sorry about your BFN... I still have hope for you tho xx

cindy - am getting excited for you - can't help it

wasabi How upsetting about the blood test - I would be too xx

queenie - looks like your AF might be due when mine is... I hope she doesn't come for you

smileycat · 29/01/2009 10:49

Jools as you said she is an attention seeker & needs to let everyone her news no matter what it will mean to you. Others that know you from the threads will understand how you must be feeling hearing her news & will understand if you don't reply to her & will also understand if you do have a go. Big hug hun (((hug)))

Jools I guess putting your mind elsewhere will help you not to get too wound-up by her.

OP posts:
wasabipeanut · 29/01/2009 11:02

Hooray!!

Oh I am so happy for you. At least one of us is lucky this time.

Got my blood results - HCG apparently dropped from about 24,000 down to 4000 or so. Got to go back for another pg test and blood on Wednesday to confirm zero hopefully. This is good I think - at least my body is doing what it's meant to do.

Has to be the only time I have ever wanted to see a BFN.

kittycatcat · 29/01/2009 11:03

As for the new thread - a way to go yet (125 posts) as we can have up to 999 messages on here. It would be nice to see how many graduates we can get on one thread
